Soft Coffee Lounge

I can remember when this cafe was good. Nowadays, they really are just resting on their laurels. As an example, If you order toast and coffee takeaway, they will, without fail, make your coffee too early and then proceed to leave it outside in the cold wind while you wait for the toast. There is absolutely no reason to do this. Leaving the coffee inside, where it's warm, is still a choice, (and would save them a trip) if they can't time the coffee to be made a minute prior to the toast. This sort of thing (which has happened every time I've ordered take away) is indicative of how little they care about customers. They'll reply to this with an excuse and/or have yet another friend/family member write them a glowing review, but they know. They've just stopped caring.

Let me say that food and all is good but I don't understand the logic of takeaway counter in winter days. Leaving food out in cold just to get it cold is it logical? And i wasnt thinking to put this review as one of your "friendly" staff told me noone complaint about this. Now when i went through the review section there are lots of people addressed the same issue. One more thing if someone sneeze or something is anybody looking around.

Just average. Positives: location, decent coffee, big window & friendly-ish service. Broccolini was a nice side option, I liked its texture - it wasn't overcooked. Negatives: Rest of my meal was sub-par. Mushrooms were cold. Bread is too thick - it doesn't make for good toast. Jam (from a jar) was not good - just sweet, no flavour. Scrambled eggs were bland. Overall: this cafe has potential. Needs to refocus on the kitchen.

Love this little cafe, its our local. However my mum told me about the chicken burger she ordered last week. $22 for a little sweet bun (I assume its a brioche bun) with a small piece of chicken and no sides seems a bit steep for the price. Might want to add some chips or a side salad, or lower the price.
