Wonderful bar with a lovely atmosphere. Staff are always very welcoming and knowledgeable on whisky - staff members Tim and Chris gave us some great recommendations. We also saw them deal very well with a group of 12 people last night who didn’t have enough memberships and then became very rude and aggressive with the staff. A lot of bad reviews seem to be because guests turn up without memberships and expect to be allowed in with no questions asked - it is called a “members bar” surely it’s pretty obvious that you need a membership! Takes a few seconds to check this on the website. Would highly recommend.

Came here for the first time because my friend had a voucher for a whisky tasting. A couple of wee hitches on our side but we're quickly sorted by the staff! Amazing team there, friendly, relaxed and knowledgeable. I've had a membership for a wee while but it was the first time actually going, regretting not going sooner now! Will definitely be back. The decor is amazing and the place clean and tidy. When I think about a great place to drink whisky, the Scotch Malt Whisky Society in Glasgow ticks all the boxes. Might have to get along to the Edinburgh ones and see how they match up.

If you love whisky this members only club is a must! I went as a members guest and it is the bougiest place I have ever been. The whisky is phenomenal, the snacks are tasty and the vibe is "very fancy old man in his study" but in the best way. Prices range from pretty standard bar prices to insane once in a life time. I drank middle of the range drams which were £13 each
