Piatella Cafe Bar

It's the place to go if you are looking for a place that provides a great selection of cakes, waffles and crepes for dessert around Kingsway area. We had the chocolate lava cake and the waffles which were delicious. Portion size of the waffle was big in my opinion. Could probably have 2-3 people sharing one. The only disappointing thing was that it states on the menu that the waffle comes with maple syrup but it was served with golden syrup instead, hence I rated it 4 stars instead of 5.

Its a nice place for a date night. This place is the busies around Kingsway so we glad to tried it out. People said they're popular for the desser which is crepes or waffles and some cakes. We tried their crepes and honestly its just average (Nor special) and we also tried their restaurant's food which is pretty good. Portion smaller than expected. Service is really good as well, but I think because it's very crowded you sit pretty close with other peple, so you can't really hear ur coversation. Price is average as well. Recomend to share the dessert with someone else because it's pretty sweet, quiet big portion and very filling!

Great late night dessert. Good portions with selections on the menu. We had coffee, crepes and waffles. Meal presentation was great however coffee quality was average. Dessert was the winner on this visit! Staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely a popular venue amongst the younger crowd with significant turnover making for a short wait in the line to get in.

I came here around 3pm on a Friday, 3 tables were occupied. I ordered a skinny flat white and 2 cakes (sticky date pudding and pistachio cheesecake). The coffee was good, not the best but I enjoyed it. The regular was $4.50 while large was $4.80 so it made sense to get the large. With the coffee being a good price, I assumed the cake would be the same so I was shocked when I found out upon paying that it was $11 a cake!! Maybe it was because ice cream was added but the staff did not explain this to me, had I known, I would not have said yes to ice cream. I also did not realise ice cream was going to be added to both my cakes, he only asked when I ordered the sticky date pudding, when I later added the cheesecake, he didn't ask so I think it's pretty dodgy that he added it. So I'm pretty disappointed with this place, I don't like places that tricks their customer's into paying more. The pudding was mediocre while cheesecake was bad, tasted like thickened cream. I hate wasting food so I struggled with it for an hour then felt sick after that.
