Miyako

Our favorite Japanese restaurant in town, we do come quite often so had tried several sushi and sashimi options. They do offer hibachi also in a separate room, what is nice because it’s a complete different atmosphere. Rattlesnake and the caterpillar rolls are probably our favorite rolls but this time we ordered the boat and it didn’t disappoint us. Service is usually quick.

Loved my experience here. Tiffany was an excellent server, very polite, friendly and professional. Food was good. I ordered shrimp tempura bento and fried ice cream that I've never tasted before. It was unusual but good. Place is very cozy, has two separate rooms for regular and hibachi dining. Wasn't too busy, very clean and had lights dimmed down, which gave it a very relaxing feel. Music was also very soothing and pleasant to the ear. It's a but hidden off of the busy highway strip but definitely worth a visit or two :)

Miyako Japanese Restaurant, I’ve been craving sushi for a few months now. What I just had in your restaurant was beyond mouth watering. Hands down my favorite to date! Customer service was fantastic and our waitress, Bri was outstanding! Very knowledgeable of the menu and very friendly. I also had a pleasant conversation with Wilson behind the sushi bar. Y’all are amazing ano I will be back many times. Thank you!!

Seated immediately the day after valentine's day (closed Mondays so v day this year) service was great! Red Snapper and Pepper Tuna Sushi was incredible! Rattlesnake Roll was delicious! Sitting at the sushi bar let's you get to know (or catch up with) the sushi chefs. It's really a wonderful experience. I wish I could give more than 5 stars honestly. I've loved Miyako since the year they opened and it's always been an amazing place. I'm always excited to bring friends when they visit so they understand why I refer to Miyako as the best sushi experience I've ever had. Thank you.

If you’re a sushi or hibachi fanatic and really know what good sushi and hibachi taste like, you will be highly disappointed. Not much variety in their roll selection as they’re all pretty similar and not impressive taste wise. Their yellowtail sushi wasn’t bad and the miso soup wasn’t bad, but those were the best things we had. We love spicy mayo, but theirs is literally pink and has a weird tangy flavor. The “hibachi” comes out on a platter like you’d get fajitas and the chicken was extremely dry, the steak was super thin, and both were pretty much tasteless. And to top it all off, they don’t have yum yum sauce. Would not recommend to anyone. We will continue getting sushi and hibachi from Burleson, Fort Worth, and Waxahachie when we are in those areas.
