My favorite coffee shop in Grand Forks. I love this place for the atmosphere almost as much as I do for the coffee and food. Good selection of baked goods and coffee drinks. Also really good smoothies. It's one of my favorite places to do homework or catch up with friends. I can't stress how much I love The Ember!

Out of town from Chicago and I wanted to creep away to get some work done and grab a quality cup of coffee. This place did not disappoint 👌. They do manual brewing and there is a quality selection of baked goods as well.
Also, there are tons of seats and plenty of outlets!

A great place for both social networking and quiet concentration. The atmosphere is friendly and pleasant, and there's more than enough seating so you can find a quiet corner if you prefer. The barista made good recommendations and fixed a good beverage.

I visit the Ember fairly regularly as part of a regular get together. The staff are always friendly and the owners are kind enough to allow us to use their side room for events.
The atmosphere is cozy, with a surprising amount of seating space on the inside.
If you are looking for coffee downtown, The Ember is worth visiting.

Good place to come and work on homework, even with kids. Upstairs has a nice Lego table for them to plug away at while you work (or to distract yourself with). It's owned by the next door church, but nothing about being here really reminds you of that fact, which is nice.
Overall a good place to be. Coffee isn't too bad either.
