Siphon Coffee

2nd Visit. I usually do at least 2 visits to make sure what I observe the first time is consistent so my reviews hold up. Impressed. Siphon Coffee is everything a neighborhood coffee shop should be and I wish it were closer to my digs because the staff would warrant an invite to my Christmas morning. Coffee as good as it gets✅, vibe is welcome casual for all✅, staff on top of their game ✅, and free parking✅ (although packed even on a Sun a.m.)?!? Last visit 12/17- drink hot, extra shots, banana bread warmed, do you want our butter? (yes, plz) and I didn’t even have to ask-they do the asking & you get it your way here unlike the other ubiquitous coffee place which shall not be named. Make the effort and find your way to Siphon, no need to change what you want, who you are, this is the place to meet, work, drink some solid coffee & settle for a pleasant experience. Sadly, I was enjoying myself so didn’t take any media, maybe tomorrow when I go back!

Didn't try any coffee or beverage. I like that most of the baked goods are in-house made. And their syrups are in-house made. The beef empanada is pretty good. It has raisins inside. Tried the strawberry goddess muffin and it was pretty good. I would rate both 4.5/5. The wifi was not working for me when I was there. It was 50% occupied. There's outdoor seating in front and to the side.

Great local specialty coffee shop Siphon is one of my go-to coffee shops whether it’s to get work done, read or relax. I’m not a big coffee drinker but the beverages here have always been amazing! If you’re unsure of what to order, I’d recommend the Barista Special and list your preferences and they will make a great drink for you! Staff are super-friendly; I’ve never had a bad experience here. Cafe internet is solid and bathrooms are clean. The cafe features indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor seating features a variety of styles including leather couches, counter-top and barstools, and traditional tables. Outdoor seating is mostly booths with cute overhead lights. I’d recommend avoiding outdoors when it’s really hot and/or dusk/dawn as there are mosquitoes. I do wish there were more outlet plugs at the cafe - these can be very limited when it’s busy. The parking lot fills up quickly but there is plenty of (shaded) street parking a block over.

Road to here on my bike from my hotel near Hermann Park. I have to say... this place is really nice... when I arrived, I couldn't find anywhere to lock my bike up. However, they have a spot to put it next to the outdoor seating that is shaded and has fans to keep you cool (even in 100° weather). When ordering an individual, was in front of me talking to the cashier and saying that they received the wrong order. The cashier apologized, gave them a refund, and gave them the food they ordered and the meal they mistakenly gave them. When I ordered the cashier, was forthcoming and on point with recommendations. I ordered a cold brew, banana bread, and avocado toast. In a matter of no less than five minutes, I had my order. Pros: Great food, customer service, and coffee. Avocado toast had lots of avocado! Cons: Not much parking or bike rack. In all, it's an awesome place to chill and get some work done. I would HIGHLY recommend this coffee shop.
