Pizza Motus

Excellent family-friendly space with a great menu of Roman-style pizzas and beautiful sandwiches. The servers are attentive, friendly, and really know the menu. There is a water/ice station, or you can purchase bottled drinks and water. The pizza is rectangular and fits neatly into the serving platters. The walls are adorned with great artwork and the windows filled with pizza books, setting up a delightful ambiance. Very impressive eatery.

I am not even a big pizza fan, but man, the pizza here!!! We had a hh here, everything was fantastic! The owner Will told us that they ferment the flour imported from Rome, with a minimum amout of yeast and no sugar added, for 96 hours. The yeast is digested during this process. The crust is super airy, love it! Every tray Will brings out, gone in a minute. So good, and you just have to try it for yourself!!

Highly recommended. 5/5. Delicious pizza, yummy hot sauce (o’come on hot sauce) and a very nice decor/vibe. The crust is particularly delicious and unlike any i’ve personally eaten before. I ordered a personal caprese while my partner had a personal pepperoni pizza. Personal size is enough for two people, to be honest. They have gluten-free sandwiches and salads.

Wow!!!!! Incredible, delicious pizza AND fast delivery. I ordered the prosciutto and arugula personal pizza with a side of calamari, and both were spectacular, and enough for left overs tomorrow! I was impressed with the quality of ingredients, freshness, and presentation. Also, the calamari also included shrimp, an added bonus!!!!! Excellent experience, thus far, and will definitely have to visit the restaurant as this will become my new go to for pizza!!!

I from NYC and super picky on pizza, Motus Pizza was delicious, dough not to thick and crusty. Wife had the pepperoni and I had the anchovies both were generously covered with great flavor. We also had the artichoke dip. Super neighborhoody and quiet on a Thursday night and worth the trip plus a few short steps to tiny milk and cookies for ice cream and the best chocolate chip cookies ever.

My first time here and I wasn’t disappointed. Cozy little place with absolutely great food. Tried the rosemary chips (yum) and La Francesca (White pizza); the large is a pretty good portion for 3 people. Will definitely return, highly recommended, great place for family and friends, grab a bottle of wine and head over to Pizza Motus; it can be a bit hard to find though since it’s tucked in the corner by Little Matt’s but look out for the green and white canopy and a neat little take out window!

Crispy prosciutto. That should be all you need to know. This pizza is GREAT!! The personal size is more than enough for one person and did I mention the crispy prosciutto? Put it on everything!! The vegetarion box pizza is a mountain of fresh, seasonal vegetables that basically gives a salad as well. They even have a walk up window to get it by the slice/square!! And, above all else, don't forget the crispy prosciutto.

Pizza Motus is sharing something that's not just another Italian style pizza joint here in Houston. Sure, there's all these Neapolitan style pizza places you can find in good old H-Town, but then there's pizza al taglio, literally means pizza by the cut, where it's usually pizza baked in a large rectangular tray and then also sold in rectangular shape cut instead of the typical pizza slice cut. This is the type of pizza Pizza Motus is serving up. The owner, Will, who lived in Rome for many years, wanted to bring back his experience there to Houston where a town that's full of Neapolitan style pizza but no Rome style pizza. You can either order the pizza by the slice, a personal sized pizza (10" round pizza), or a Large (the menu says it can feed 3). Then there's also the SUPER LARGE rectangular pizza that's 24" by 16", which should be able to feed 5-6 adults. Since I was only there by myself, I opted for 2 different pizza by the slice. I made sure just to get the cheese pizza because that's the best way for you to certainly taste the sauce and the crust. Once you order at the counter, they will give you a nice custom made Blue Tile Project sign instead of your typical number sign other restaurants give for the pizza deliver to your table. If you only want water, it's self serve at the corner near where the register is. My pizza came out in no time as it's already to go, just meet to be sliced up and slightly toast a bit. I took a bite of the cheese pizza first and the first thing you'll notice is the light, airy, and crispy pizza crust. It's like eating a very delicious, well made bread with tomato sauce and cheese on top. Speaking of the tomato sauce, it's so good because you can actually taste the sweetness of the tomato, that you can't really taste anymore with typical grocery store bought tomatoes. The cheese is nice and cheesy. The pepperoni pizza is nice and savory and with these 2 slices, I didn't feel overstuffed but good enough for me to go on for the rest of the evening. Pizza Motus have a lot more food for the offering that I will definitely need to come back and try. There are other white pizzas and small plates that I definitely want to taste. Please note that this place is BYOB and there's no corkage fee. It is definitely a great way to bring some wine and enjoy delicious pizza together with friends and family!
