Ray's Bbq Shack

I didn't take pictures of our food. However, the service and quality of the food were great. I purchased a 1/4 lb. burger with fries and a cucumber salad. I was not disappointed! The burger and fries were so fresh and authentic. The burger was real, and the potatoes were real! I plan to visit at a later date when in Houston. My sister purchased food for her and her children. Everyone enjoyed their food, with the exception of the macaroni and cheese. Everything resembled home-cooked food except the macaroni and cheese. It was mediocre and not worth the calories. However, the shrimp, catfish, burger, and BBQ chicken did not disappoint. I would recommend the drinks and food at this restaurant, with the exception of the macaroni and cheese. The employees were so so so sweet and professional. This restaurant is worth your time and money!

I got the brisket nachos. I was really surprised by the size of them, they are huge! They have both melted queso and shredded cheese. The toppings are guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo. They were spicy. I got the bbq sauce on the side. The brisket was smoked, tender, and wonderful. The nachos, over all, were a little salty. That was my first taste impression.

Went with a large group on Sunday and atmosphere was nice . Expected line for a weekend, moved pretty well. Thankful we were able to put our tables together to suite all of our group. Food was fresh , I had Two meats , beans and potato salad with buttered toast. Plenty of food to take home for me. First time for me , will definitely go back again.

Been visiting Ray's for years and the service still is great. From the young lady who took my order to the time to prepare it all the way to picking up order, everything was great. Food wise, everything was fantastic. First time ordering bbq oxtails and maaaaan what took me so long to try them. This is my new go to plate now. Also, try the 1/2 pound burger as well. One of the best burgers I ever had. Grilled just right. Definitely when your in the neighborhood visit Ray's BBQ. You won't be disappointed.
