Okoboji Grill

Waited for 40 minutes for food, and it was cold. Service was meh. Lettuce was soggy. The meat in the soup was mushy. When asked what type of meat the gyro salad was she didn't know or would go find out. When asked what type of whiskey they had she didn't know or go find out. I went to the bar and found out myself. I have been here before and it was usually good, but not this time.

I've eaten there twice. The 1st experience was great. The food was good and the staff were friendly and prompt. The 2nd experience wasn't as pleasant. They weren't busy at all. We were one of three tables in the bar area of the restaurant and only a couple of people were seated at the bar. We waited over 20 minutes to get our drinks. I ordered Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken, which was cold when it arrived at our table. My mother-in-law ordered a French Dip, which she said the that it was cold as well and the meat tasted not fresh. The staff wasn't prompt and left dirty plates and dishes and our table throughout the meal. The atmosphere is good and it's a nice place, but I'm gonna have to give it another try before I can really form an opinion!
