Fococcia and pizza was delicious. Only feedback would be more cheese on the pizza. Aperol spritz

Consistently good, artisan pizza. Regular stop, when we are in Indy. Terrific selection of high end toppings, good salads. Quality was a touch below standard this time, crust wasn’t quite as crisp. Could use a couple more draft beer selections. Having said that, it’s still miles ahead of any downtown competitor. We’ll be back.

Great for a fun night out! We got a dinner reservation for 9 (including 3 children ages 12, 8 and 5) on a Saturday and the food was fantastic. The spinach and beet salad stood out as a favorite as did the many artisinal meats and cheeses on the pizza menu. Hunter was a fantastic server--knowledgable, friendly and funny. Overall, a very good dining experience.

STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND HEAD IMMEDIATELY TO THIS RESTAURANT!
I visit Indianapolis as a business traveler several times a year. This just became a staple in my visit. I have a team here with me and some of us were in a meeting in the same building. The meeting ended around 4:30 pm and one of the exec's we were meeting with offered to walk us out on her way out. As we walked and chatted, she shared that she and her husband were foodies who enjoyed making home made Italian dishes, and we both agreed that using double zero flower was a must. She talked about making pizza dough from scratch, something we hadn't yet tried, and as we passed Napolese, she mentioned that their pizzas were well made and the restaurant served authentic Italian dishes. So, after we went back to the hotel to change, my team and I went back to check it out. Wow.
For starters, we had the Arugula salad with strawberries, candied walnuts, gorgonzola cheese, shaved fennel, and it was all drizzled with a reduced aged balsamic vinegar. There were five of us so we shared that, and a Farro salad. I had never had a farro salad so I didn't know what to expect. When it came out, the look of it surprised me because it wasn't really a salad, like with lettuce, but a salad like macaroni or potato, except with farro, peas, sliced radishes, toasted almonds, and a very light dressing. It was incredible! I had several helpings and the colleague who ordered it kept espousing how healthy it was. When the waiter came over to ask how everything tasted, I raved about the farro salad and the waiter said, "yeah, and it's such a healthy dish". I don't want to take anything away from the Arugula salad that was just as delicious, but the farro salad introduced me to a whole new experience. I could have easily had a bowl of that for lunch and would have been completely satisfied.
After that, the five of us split two pizzas, one Margherita with mushrooms and one called Hamaker's Corner. The Hamaker's had pepperoni that was sliced lengthwise, not in disks, and sweet Italian sausage without the casing. It also had provolone and mozzarella cheese and mushrooms on it. From the first bite of the meat pizza I knew we were in for a treat. The pepperoni was just the right amount of spiciness and had a great crunchy outside and soft inside texture, and the sausage was seasoned just right with a touch of fennel. But the star of the bite came from the sauce. It's hard to explain what a good pizza sauce tastes like, but the flavor is a light tomato flavor with an undertone of mild sweetness that comes form a properly cooked sauce, and a lightness to it that doesn't bully the rest of the bite. A great pizza sauce is like an award winning supporting actor, they make the event better without needing to take over. The same carried through the Margherita, of course, and I can only imagine that every other pizza they offer will be just as delicious. Expertly cooked in their brick oven, I would eat an old shoe on top of any of their pizzas because the seasoning, sauce, and brick oven fried crust would make it taste like filet mignon.
For dessert, some got the pistachio gelato, one got the seasonal fruit crisp, that happened to be rhubarb today, coupled with pistachio gelato, and I had the panna cotta that came with strawberries, basil syrup, and citrus vanilla olive oil. I can tell you that I constructed every bite with a dollop of panna cotta and a slice of strawberry, and I took my time on every bite. Someone commented on how quiet the table had gotten, except for the grunts and moaning. One of the best culinary experiences I've had in a long time. I was really, really tempted to share a bite of the hot rhubarb crisp with the pistachio gelato that everyone was raving about, but I had such a nice experience and memory of the last bite of the panna cotta, that I didn't want to risk overlaying that memory with something different. It was simply heavenly.
Here's a shocking twist. The bill for all five of us.... $120 (before tip).
Boom - you're welcome!!

Delicious, original, local pizzas! Fabulous drink menu, heavy handed pours, pleasant waitstaff! Pricey but you get what you pay for!

Very clean! Nice restaurant! Waiter was fast and very in detail. Get the starter that called. Bourbon Creamed Corn: Corn, Cream, Onions & Peppers, Fresh Basil, Focaccia it’s delicious and it comes with cheesy bread. The only reason why it was 4 star was because it’s a little pricey and smaller tables but well worth it. Even has a roofed patio! Gotta try this place!

Had the Spinach and Artichoke Dip and Focaccia for lunch. Amazing! Portions are generous for sharing or having leftovers. Also, so glad the Olive Cake is back. Incredibly moist and the lemon glaze is perfect. Always excellent service with genuine smiles.

Great service - friendly and attentive. Fairly large portions (12" pizza for one). Half salad makes a good starter or side dish. Desert pizza is likely too big for one person. Opentable said they didn't have seating available for another hour and forty five minutes. Called and were seated right away.
