Chicken Salad Chick

I love this place. Their chicken salad is hands down the best and I will continue to come back for the consistency and variety. They give you a bunch options and the meals come along with an extra scoop of chicken salad, crackers, a pickle, and a cookie! Well worth it. I wish they stayed open later but I’m satisfied going for lunch every time.

This was my only experience with Chicken Salad Chick. Perhaps it was an exception to the rule. When ordering at the counter I joked with my wife, but loudly enough for the staff to hear, that, "I can tell I'm not going to like this because I don't see pizza or burgers anywhere." I laughed as I said it and didn't mean it as an insult at all. It was simply a way to break the ice and get a laugh. Afterall, the decor is clearly intended to cater to women, so men can't help but feel a little out of place in such settings. It's how we're wired, but we're fine with it. We simply deal with it through attempts at humor.The light-hearted nature of my comment couldn't have been more obvious. However, the looks I got from the staff suggested that either they didn't get my joke or that they had made up their minds not to laugh. I don't expect laughs at all my jokes, but this was flat out awkward. I apologized and explained why I joked about it. Still nothing. I assumed they were off their customer service game, or that maybe they couldn't hear me through my mask... and then I went to the restroom. In the men's room, there is a placard over the urinal that read, "Gentlemen…… the porcelain pigs, rusty pails, and washboard decor at your barbecue joints don't threaten our femininity. So we don't think it is too much to ask of you to say the stupid names [of their meals] and sit in a few flowers [table cloth] for an hour. Thank you for understanding. It means a lot to us." That's when I realized that, funny or not, my jokes weren't going to get any laughs, legit, sympathetic, or otherwise. There seems to be a chip on their shoulder and, as a man, I did not feel welcome. Having said that, the food is really tasty - tasty enough for me to want another, but not tasty enough to go back and be treated with indifference for being a man. If you want a tasty chicken salad sandwich, you'll get it at Chicken Salad Chick. But according to the urinal placard and my personal experience, there is an expectation you'll need to live up to if you want friendly service.

Our new favorite place. Eaten there 3 times in the last week. Good service! Easy parking. Wide variety of flavors. I love the classic, Olivia's flavor, and today the Sassy. Great flavor and seasoning. Taste is fresh, even the bread is fresh and delicious. The sides are.good, especially the broccoli salad...so sweet and crunchy. And the cookies are also perfect! Mini Market allows you to take some to go for dinner or lunch.

The chicken salads here are exceptional. Broccoli salad is great too. I've placed many small orders and a few large ones for family gatherings. All were accurate, consistent, and delicious. I've never eaten in, so I can't speak to dine-in service, but everyone has always been friendly and helpful for getting takeout orders to me.

This place is extremely efficient and accurate with deliveries! We put in an huge order for 12 people, so of course I was concerned about mistakes or forgotten items, but the restaurant got it 100% correct!! From the meals and side dishes to the number of salad dressings, drinks, straws, and utensils! Everything was labeled and organized, and delivered on time. I was very impressed!!!
