Church's Texas Chicken

I've been to this location several times in the past and it's been mostly trouble free until this past Friday, 6/24/2022. They got our order completely wrong and they only have us a ½ a container of gravy. To top it off the chicken was cooked in old grease that really needed changing. It had that burnt grease taste. It was awful 🤮 When we told them about the ½ container of gravy they told us that they do that so we don't spill it in the car on the drive home. I said I'm not paying for ½ container, I'm paying for a full container. OMG! She was freaking out because we wanted a full container. I thought her head was going to explode 🤯. I mean, it's gravy for heavens sake, just full it up and let's get on with our day. Well, she had to go get the manager who told her to fill it up. All the while the manager is giving us the LOOK 😡. You know, that look that says "go away, you'r really making my day difficult". A very mean look 😠 The Church's Chicken on belt line is always bad and obviously the management at this location has serious issues so now I'm not sure where to go. I guess I'll go to Golden Chick or Chicken Express.

Ghetto beyond ghetto workers here. There is a tall, husky African-American woman with bright red hair that always has an attitude. Ordered a 1/2 gallon sweet tea and 2 cups of ice and the lady got into it with me for no reason about did I pay for the cups of ice that I specifically told the hispanic girl who took my order I needed the ice cups. She then proceeded to cuss out my boyfriend through the window for trying to defend me. I'm not even sure how this woman still has a job when she conducts herself so unprofessionally!!!! What a joke...!!!!

Took me back to my childhood when we used to drive from Baxter Springs KS to Jopline MO once a week just for Church's Chicken. The staff was friendly and helpful. Only complaint I have with the visit was they where out if sweet tea but that is forgivable. I will be going back again and who knows may start up the old tradition of going once a week again. Only reason we had stopped way back when was our Church's Chicken closed down and there weren't any around that area.

This place is a nightmare, chicken is burned , gravy taste nasty, the containers where they gave me the food all dirty on the outside, the place looks very dirty plus very bad customer service, I paid for a large drink and the lady prepared a medium drink for me, when she was going to hand me the drink I told her instead of giving me a new large drink she just emptied the one on her hand in to a bigger cup and filled the rest from the soda machine, I don't think she did the right thing but I'm not sure that is way I didn't say anything to her. I don't think I will come back to that place.

Thanks. Great service with a smile and food. Much appreciated the extra peppers. I ordered (2)2 piece dark meals. I was scared and safe at the same time. Lol. Right down the street from the police station. I didn't eat the first time. I decided to get something a few days later. I had to come back to change this review. OLD FOOD served with smile. Didn't appreciate the $5 special posted on the window I ordered. I should've taken the 'evidence' to the police station. Here are the pics.

It was my first time, the cashier ignored everyone until she got done snacking it took her so long to take the guy order in front of me he said " oh you ready to take my order now " another lady that was filling orders stopped filling orders and took my order the cashier was still walking around eating she grabbed a biscuit she stuck her hands in the fry bend and ate fries directly from the bend in front of about 6 customers she grabbed shrimp and stepped to right (all customers could see her as we waited to either place an order or get our order)she kept singing we only got an hour before we close!the lady with the glasses and the cook were the only 2 working the lady with the missing tooth was just awful no customer service at all and with covid around your sticking your hands and eating directly from the fry bend after you taken the guy money in front of me.. she wasn't on break because I ask the lady that took my order for fresh okra and fries so she threw everything away!! The lady that was eating from the bend dropped the okra and fries for her. I'm new to the neighborhood first and last time going! I only ended up at the one on O'CONNOR because the one on Story Rd was closed
