Eleanor's Bar And Grill

If you're looking for a locals' sports bar with tasty buffalo wings and cold beer then you've found your place. We just happened on Eleanor's and the sign brought us in. Our timing couldn't have been better arriving just before the start of the 4pm happy hour. We sat at the bar and it felt like we'd been in the neighborhood for 20 years when we had only arrived in Jackson a few hours earlier. Folks sitting at the bar were super friendly and Ari, the bartender, and the rest of the crew were all enjoying themselves and so did we! We already had 5pm reservations for a nearby restaurant so we opted for buffalo wings as an appetizer. Just the right amount of heat! We learned that there's a group of CU Buffaloes fans that gather to cheer them on and we would surely join them if we were staying that long. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we're so happy we stopped in.

The food blew my socks off and the prices are very un-Jackson Hole. Do not be put off by entering through a liquor store. There's a sports bar / restaurant through the back. Staff are friendly and unhurried. I was there on a Tues at lunch and they addressed a lot of the patrons by name so I gather the locals like it. I sure did. The onion/bacon jam they put on my grilled chicken sandwich left me wanting a lot more. Well worth it.

A random find for us. We were looking for a lite bite to eat one evening that wasn't fast food or a big sit-down meal. Eleanor's came up on Google search, so we gave it a shot. Entering through a liquor store was a bit of a strange experience, and the bar at the back made us feel a little bit out of place initially. However! The staff were lovely and made us feel more comfortable. We ended up taking our two different salad dishes for our dinner, which were INSANELY good!! Not what we were expecting at all. Definitely a hidden gem and highly recommended.

We started out asking for a good place to go for nachos, and our campground host pointed us to this locals place Eleanor's Again. They had a fantastic happy hour which we lucked out in being part of. We got our nachos covered with ground beef but you can have shredded pork also. Couple of shots from the bar which was very unexpected and the service was fantastic. They don't usually have dessert but we were fortunate to get a lava cake last night. We decided it was so good we went back again today and had panko fish and a chimichanga. Instead of fries my wife ordered homemade tater tots and they certainly are homemade and quite delicious. Last night we'd had the choice of nachos with chips or tachos with the tater tots and chose the chips. Maybe next time we would choose the tater tots instead. Definitely a locals place, reasonable prices and an expensive town. According to them it's the biggest sports bar in town but I think I only counted eight TVs. I guess that's a pretty good number for a small place. One of the fun features of this location is you have to walk through a liquor store to get to it, the liquor store was playing spa music and later classical. Kind of unusual yet relaxing in a weird way. Highly recommended, and the servers are super helpful very quick and very friendly.
