The Blue Lion

Very impressed by this place. The service was top notch, the drinks were incredible, the food was delicious, and the dessert was amazing! There was even live music, an acoustic guitarist playing cover songs. I highly recommend the huckleberry goat cheese appetizer, gnudi, and the huckleberry scallops. The elk tenderloin was cooked perfectly and so tender and flavourful. The mud pie dessert cake was the perfect finisher of the meal.

The Blue Lion has been my sister’s favorite for years, and for good reason. Each and every bite was exquisite. The stuffed mushrooms and gnudi in brown butter and sage were a great start. The salad was light and fresh, with candied pecans. The lamb was the best I’ve EVER HAD. Bravo to the chefs and to the servers for their execution of this meal, which makes all the difference. Everything came out hot and perfectly cooked. Finished the meal with the mud pie and Ukrainian cream. Will remember this meal for a long time.

The food was excellent. Very fresh and prepared well. We had the lamb chops, unbreaded, the elk slices and sesame dressing on our salads. The service was better than the food or at least as great. Our meal took a long time but 1) there were a few large parties seated before us 2) our server and the bar manager actually apologized for the delay 3) we didn’t care. We hope everyone will give the Blue Lion a chance - it is worth any wait. ;)

My husband and I loved the Blue Lion. It’s in a renovated home and we got to sit by the guitarist that was very talented and provided a great vibe to the dinner. The server was very kind and knowledgeable. The food was delicious. We got the crab mushrooms, shrimp scampi, huckleberry scallops, and raspberry lemon cake. SO GOOD! I’d recommend this place for a fancy night out.

Started off with delicious grilled Wasabi elk and the restaurant won me over with my fiance plate of the roast rack of lamb. That jalapeño mint sauce is definitely a new flavor for me. Definitely want the recipe on that. ... I got the huckleberry scallops which was still pretty good. But when I go again I'd get the rack of lambs instead. We came near closing so it was just us at the restaurant. When we entered there was some customers and they were raving about the food. And they weren't kidding! ... When I'm in the area again later this year we will definitely put in a reservation! ... Update: Visited again recently and still love the restaurant! Even when one of the dishes wasn't available they gave me my tiramisu on the house to make up for it.

I came by myself on a busy Saturday night and received outstanding service from Radu and the rest of the staff! I ordered both the elk and the stuffed mushroom appetizers, followed by the rack of lamb entree. Everything lived up to its name; I absolutely LOVE lamb, and this is the best that I have had so far. Definitely stop by after visiting Teton or Yellowstone!
