Bella Notte Ristorante

Oh I can't wait to take a Bella Notte pizza to my son and his sweetheart so they will be hooked and I can have it again! Jeff was a great host and server. Compliments to the chef. The tenderloin panini is another item I am looking forward to ordering again. I had no idea how huge this place was! Even a banquet hall upstairs!

This place is always dead. after a few visits here, i quickly learned why. All the signs of a failing restaurant- inconsistent portions & food quality are the most apparent. I was served old/spoiled food, on multiple occasions within a span of a few months. Their store bought Hummus was a thick, dried out paste— The calamari was definitely old, stinky & rubbery. Literally the worst I’ve ever had and should not have been served. They attempt to overcompensate for the spoiled & inconsistent food with “triple pours” & over serving alcohol. The vibe is shady— to say the least. In the handful of times I’ve gone here, almost every time there was an “incident”. I’ve seen people fight, fall down drunk and not able to stand or walk, etc. —mostly a strange crowd of middle aged “regulars” who are friends of the owner. Don’t be fooled by the “Italian restaurant” front- this is a shady “upscale” dive bar in disguise serving spoiled seafood & stiff drinks.

We had a very disappointing experience with takeout. We ordered a chicken fettuccine Alfredo and the honey-bourbon salmon. The website indicates all entrees come with bread and salad. Upon arriving home we found the Alfredo was missing the chicken, one salad had the wrong dressing, and there was no bread. When I called back I was told bread is only provided if specifically requested, and apologized for forgetting the chicken. No offer to remedy or compensate.

Excellent food! We had the seared tuna on a lovely mixed greens salad and the ribeye special. Both were fabulous high-end meals. The home-grown herb blend in the olive oil for bread dipping was outstanding. Apparently they grow their own herbs in a garden on the roof. The calamari appetizer was also just great. Nice selection of wine as well. So surprised to find that kind of quality in Jackson.
