Nicole's On The River

I live in Connecticut and traveled to Florida recently. I wanted to meet my friend for lunch and he suggested this place. The first thing I noticed on the menu was the fried okra. Unavailable where I live. The food and service were great. I got the fried okra and potato salad for my sides. Both were great. My friend got the fried shrimp. He said that was great also. I hope to get down to Jacksonville next year and I will definitely stop in again.

My breakfast experience at Nicole's On The River was a pleasant surprise. I decided to mix things up and went for the combination of fried chicken and shrimp, which turned out to be a delicious choice. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, while the shrimp added a delightful seafood twist to the meal. And of course, you can't go wrong with biscuits and gravy – they were the perfect comforting side. It was a great way to start the day, and the ambiance by the river added to the overall charm of the meal. If you're in the mood for a hearty breakfast with a view, Nicole's On The River is definitely worth a visit.

The hamburger steak with onions and gravy are the absolute bomb! So tender and juicy. My daughter had the fried chicken and she ate everything on that plate. The collared greens were spot on as well. We actually got a double order of collard greens and lima beans to go... That's how great this food is! We will definitely be back!

Food is always good. The atmosphere feels like you're in your mothers kitchen with a group of friends. The place is a little run down but clean after eating there you will not care. There is one thing that I didn't like,upon entering the restaurant there is no one to greet or seat you there is no sign to seat your self I waited while the waiters went about there work saying nothing to me. Finally a customer told me you seat your self.
