The Home Plate Diner

Huge shout-out and thank you to the Colonel from Dano's Diner for going way above and beyond last week! I've been wanting to try something from their burger lunch menu after our first visit there for breakfast a few weeks back. I ordered through GrubHub and waited the 30-45 minutes anticipated delivery time. After 45 minutes, I got a call from GrubHub support that my order was cancelled and refunded because someone stole my order. Although disappointed, I went on with my day and would try again another time. A few minutes later, I got a call from Dano's. It was the Colonel calling to apologize for the situation, remade my burger and delivered it to my house himself! Thank you again for great customer service and taking care of your customers! By the way, the Pete Rose Burger was amazing.

Great food with a “made by Dad” touch to it. Don’t get offended by the staff. If they pick on you it means they like you. It’s all in good fun. The atmosphere is nostalgia and some sarcasm. It’s a fun experience. I can’t wait to come back and try the burger. Looks exactly like what my dad uses to make for me. Don’t believe the 1 star reviews from people that have never been here or have zero sense of humor.

Had an excellent after church service dining experience at Dano's Diner this past Sunday! The "phat flap jacks" (pancakes) are off the chart delicious! I'm going back to have a double stack of those with blue berries! The 5 egg bacon/cheddar omelet was amazing. It was so large that I had the rest of it for breakfast this morning! Grits were great, of course! Coffee wasn't weak! My wife says the biscuits and sausage gravy were the best she's had in years. (And we're both senior citizens!) Prices are affordable and on par with most breakfast/lunch restaurants. The witty sayings on the menu and the light and friendly atmosphere can't be beat! We are blessed! Thanks, Dano's!
