La Gran Parada Rest

I stopped in for a mondongo ($8) and asked if there was a place nearby where I could get a beer. The proprietor told me that he would go get me one although one of the employees indicated that they had beer there. I asked for something hot to spice it up. They had a number of hot sauces out but behind the counter they had some little tiny cups with Jalapenos in them. They gave me two of those. When I asked for the bill I was told it was $12. it was $8 for the Mondongo, a dollar for the jalapenos, and $3 for the beer. The proprietor insisted that $3 was a low price for an 8 oz beer. This place gives you the true Latin American Experience. If you don't ask for the prices up front you get screwed. The food wasn't even all that good. Definitely this is a place to skip.

WE ORDERED $33.00 WORTH OF FOOD AND IN THE RICE THERE WAS A MAGGOT WE CALLED THEM TO LET THEM KNOW WE WANTED A REFUN. OWNER CAME TO MY PLACE OF BUISNESS AND THREATENED US. THE FOOD WAS LEAKING ALL OVR THE BAG AND HAD THE NERVE TO SAY IF WE PUBLICLY DISPLAY THIS HE WILL TAKE US TO COURT SO HERE I AM TO LET ALL YOU KNOW THERE ARE BUGS IN THE FOOD BE CAREFUL.
