They are open and the beef is flowin! I have been patiently waiting to get my corned beef fix from here since they first started prepping the store. Happy to say they did not disappoint. The beef was juicy and flavorful and complemented by fresh rye bread with tasty yellow mustard. The restaurant was clean and the staff provided service with a smile. DA's has made a regular customer out of me.

I have been there a few times now, and the food is excellent. The corned beef and fried chicken are both outstanding. The dinner entrees come with three sides, so it is a good value. The staff is very friendly and polite. The service is a bit slow, presumably because they are cooking the orders fresh. I will be back.

First off I know this place is newer but with that in mind..... I ordered two sandwiches and waited 54 minutes for them. The rye bread is very dry and fell apart easy. The corned beef was lacking in flavor. The turkey had little flavor and tasted like anything I could buy from a local grocery store. The sandwich prices are deffinatly high for the quality you get. The cashier was friendly as was the rest of the staff. There are a lot of kinks they need to work out and flavor is one of them.

I have been here a few times now. Service is pretty slow due to lack of cooking staff. Quoted 20mins for pick up orders usually not ready for 30-40 mins. Fried chicken is good. Mac n cheese is mushy. Mashed potatoes very inconsistent in taste. Green beans are very fresh and corn bread is excellent. Staff has been friendly and polite on all occasions.

I'm VERY disappointed with the food, I have been there several times and have encountered different experiences. The first 2 experiences was a call in order they told me 15 minutes I gave them 25 minutes to ensure my order was ready when I got there!! The time I arrived I still had to wait 5 more minutes for my food the corn beef sandwich was fatty and my order was wrong . I asked for smothered chicken, sweet potatoes,Mac and dressings, the lady waited until I got there told me they were out of dressings so she put greens in my plate!! I just left there for the 3rd time I ordered the same thing smothered chicken, Mac,Sweet potatoes and dressings. I make it to the house getting ready to relax on a Sunday and watch my shows, my order was wrong again!! For whatever reason they are NOT giving me dressings but instead gave me some greens that looks and taste like gooey can greens, the chicken have a funny taste to it and the mac is dried out!! I tried to support Black Business by it being the ONLY Soul Food place out here, I give up I will continue going back to the city to get my Soul Food or cook it myself!!!!

UPDATE: 9/4/19 DA Deli in Joliet is Closed. They are still open in Calumet Park. I will miss them! **** First time visiting today! We had the lunch of baked catfish, greens, okra, sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes. Everything was hot and very very fresh. Loads of flavor without being too salty. Left feeling full and happy. The seating area was clean and very roomy. Cant wait to return and try more menu items!
