Buddy's Bar-b-q

Up until recently I had not been to a buddy's bar-b-q since I was a kid. When I say kid, I mean 30 years ago. We have been working in Knoxville, near Kingston Pike, so we stopped at buddy's for lunch. It was a really great experience! It wasn't too crowded and the food come out very quick, hot and delicious. We have been to other restaurants that charge $20 a plate for not that great barbecue and tiny sides. At buddy's I paid 10 bucks and had two huge sides with a good amount of barbecue pulled chicken plus six hush puppies. Plus we went on Wednesday so they had $1 hot fudge cake sundaes which really hit the spot. Honestly, I can't wait to go back.

This location has consistently (4/5 times) given cold food that appeared to be from the day prior, my relatives kept ordering from them each time they would visit me. We are no longer going to be ordering from here ever again. Do not do the online carry out option as they feel that it's okay to sell food that should have been trashed the day prior. Never went inside this joint so maybe the food and service are great for dine in.

The food is great, staff always working hard. The wait time in the drive through is randomized though. There is a little wheel in the back they spin to see how long to wait before handing the food through the window. I've ordered an entire dinner for 7 and was in and out under five minutes. But I watched a guy get one small bag and I kid you not it took 30 minutes. It seems like a fun game, like something you'd see on The Price is Right. I can hear Bob Barker now telling me how sorry he is that I have to wait 20 minutes for my French fries and sweet tea. I don't care for Drew Carey. He was funny and his own show, but I guess I just missed Bob Barker. Bob Barker is in heaven right now spay and neutering everyone's cats. Bless

Ordered to go at window. Got home 5 miles away and order was missing hush puppies and sauce, which goes with BBQ dinner, which way way dissapointed my lady. Also no receipt. Hey Buddy's....train your people. I'm guessing that they found a small bag at window that the young attendant failed to give me. Give everyone a receipt. Answer your phone 🙄

Weather eating in or picking up curbside always an outstanding experience. Their website to order from is very easy to navigate leaving ample room for any special instructions. My grand Sons are severe celiac disease and they have never gotten cross-contaminated or gluten at all. From the staff to the management our Buddy's barbecue here is top-notch.
