Local Gourmet

Seems like this place has shut down, which is really sad because it was truly one of a kind. I don't think I'll get to deliver such massive pork ribs or their amazing pork BBQ with mashed potatoes at such a reasonable prices anywhere else. Even their items like cheesy fries or chicken tenders were pretty great.

Heard from one of my colleagues about this joint nearly 1 year before. But some how could make it by this one year. Today I have found in Google map and had Pork Plater contained, ham, salami, collar bread and smashed potato.. It is just awesome taste.. no spice.. pure fresh & juicy pork and supper taste.

Being a take away joint, one would not be that keen on munching stuff sitting at the garage of a joint here. However, that being a shortcoming, the place oozes quality control in terms of food being served. While the Oink burger is the very best pork burger I have had in a very long time, the other dishes didn't let me down either. The dishes are well executed and well garnished too. Hoping for a better seating area next time I drop in.

Best place to get superb yet affordable steaks and grills in Kolkata. Chef Atrei is a true foodie and cares about her diners' culinary experiences, and the dishes she offers up are a testament to her skill and care. I tried the BBQ semi smoked pork and the chicken roast meals. The meat was tender, juicy and well seasoned, and the sauces were subtle and rich in flavour. The mash was very creamy as well. Atrei also tries to make her meals healthy, by minimising simple carbs and grains, and prioritising the protein and vegetables. I can't wait to go back again. Will def try the burgers next time.

What else does one need after enjoying #three movies back to back - what else but a gastronomical treat. Since, I was near Saltlake - my usual destination to drop in was none other than Local Gourmet as always.. Enjoyed #BACONWRAPPEDMINIBEEFSTEAKS - do I really need to talk about a dish which delightfully has both - #bacon & #beef in it - of course not - it was heavenly for a carnivore like me!! Also gorged on one of my other favourites - #OinkBurger - a delicious proposition with extra bacon and cheese.. Undoubtedly, one of the best burgers in town.. Thanks a ton dear Atrei & Rajarshi for your gracious hospitality as always.. Now, it's time to head for the fourth & final movie of the day after an awesome #petpujo.. The food was undoubtedly good. My friend and I had a chicken burger and a tenderloin steak. The main items were really good, however, the mashed potatoes (with the steak) and the chips (something like potato chips) served with the food wasn't all that nice, and the price was slightly steep, given the quality. The colesaw that came with the burger was fresh and really good. However, make no mistake: the streak and the burger were both extremely tasty. The packaging was excellent. And, it was incredibly nice of Rajarshi (one of the chefs, I believe, at Local Gourmet) to offer me both the sauces that came with the steak (after he saw that I was confused about choosing one) and then provide that one with the steak.
