Our Dog Friday

We got 2 burgers; Rebellious and Good Friday with a side of Cayenne coated fries, all very tastey. Being school holidays and a rainy evening it was very very busy, no tables and not alot standing room while you wait. The staff were handling the rush really well which isn't easy. A trick for this situation is to visit the outdoors gear shop next door which is open late, alot more comfortable place to wait and the buzzer will still get reception and go off when your food is ready.

I was very hungry when I came here and left extremely satisfied. The warm atmosphere and decor was nice and relaxing, but the food was great! Given that this could be described as a tourist town, the prices were pretty reasonable and the portions pretty big. Between two of us we had the Rebellious, the Heist and Cayenne Fries. All were amazing. Definitely recommend this place if you're in town and like burgers!

A great burger place in Lake Tekapo! The food were awesome with good value of money. I think this is the best restaurant in this area. I definitely will come back next time I visit Tekapo. The chicken wing was crispy outside but very juicy inside. I love the hot and sour sauce coming with it. I ordered the Rustler, which is lamb burger and it was so tasty! The filling vege was very special and I love it! My boyfriend ordered Friday Dog which is the beef burger with fried egg in it and it was great too! This is very busy restaurant but the service is great! All the staff are very friendly.

My friend and I walked in late Saturday afternoon. The wait staff was friendly. The choices of burgers are limited but I think that's good because they have worked well on the menu. This meant we got the best burger. I had the Cajun burger, which I would highly recommend. The interiors are quite nice, even the toilet! They have the history of the dog on their walls which is a nice touch.
