Food is really good. Portions per plate are for literally for 2 people. We enjoyed our takeaway of prawn fried noodles, vegetables fried rice and samosas.

Jade Palace Restaurant in Lake Tekapo is a true gem for authentic Chinese cuisine! 🥢 We ordered a spread including sweet and sour pork, kung pao chili chicken, tofu, and a combination vegetable dish.
The flavors were spot on, capturing the essence of true Chinese cooking. Not only that, but the prices were reasonable, making it even more delightful.
If you’re in Lake Tekapo and craving authentic Chinese food, Jade Palace is the place to be. Highly recommend for a delicious and reasonably priced culinary experience! 👍

We’re a Singaporean couple on our honeymoon. I’m soooo glad we decided to dine here despite the bad reviews on Google. Most of the bad reviews mentioned similar things like long wait, bad service, and decent food. When you’re craving for Chinese food, and a plate of fried rice/noodles (with lots of beef) cost as much as fish and chips, it’s pretty much a no brainer. I’ve never posted a review before but I think the current rating does no justice to this restaurant. If you need good service then go to a massage shop or a spa or a high end restaurant at double the price.

Very nice food even for a Chinese person, very authentic.

Was pleasantly surprised. From the outside the restaurant looks pretty dodgy but the food is actually alright. Everything is on the salty side but otherwise was decent. Our favourite was the prawn omelette and the braised eggplant.

Despite closed after lunch they offered takeaways at 300pm. We were so hungry! And we took it to for a picnic in our car with the amazing serene view around us!
Order gongbao chicken, broccoli stir fry,a tofu dish and rice. Portions are huge. And this place is so underrrated. Which i think they deserve better reviews!

Went on a weekday night, was really quiet and food was decent. Hot and sour soup a little too peppery, could do with less pepper. Overall pretty good.

“AWESOME FOOD, LOVELY STAFF”. Me and my husband just came today to eat our lunch. We were hesitant at first coz of the reviews but then we still tried it ourselves. And to our surprise, the food was great, service was great and the place is big. As a chef myself, I highly recommend this place. Will def come back again! 👍

surprisely good chinese food. the 回锅肉 was very good. everything else we ordered was good too. the white rice was the best i ever had outside of asia. glad that we tried even though the google rating is very low.

When we reached the town it was late and this was the only restaurant open. Highly appreciated the manager who accepted our request and take our takeaway order for Vegetarian fried rice.
The food was delicious and a bit spicy.
