The Brasserie

We’ve been here several times for dinner. We never got the cheesesteak, but we saw some, and they are humongous. The items we’ve had have all been very good. This is an older building with many connected rooms, like a sprawling maze. We didn’t sit in the front room where the bar is, looks brighter and livelier but nice. Some of the interior rooms are like a library/living room in an old house. Pretty side porch room with large windows. There is an outside area, but we never sat out there. Menu is large enough to accommodate everyone, from large entrees to burgers and sandwiches, including the cheesesteak. Portions generally on the large side. Decent selection of draft beers. The servers we have had have all been nice. Check out the massive goldfish in the aquarium on the way back to the dining rooms.

We are in town for a family reunion from NYS & decided to stop in for a late dinner. The truffle fries were the best truffle fries I’ve ever had, beet salad was amazing, & my fiancé got the prime rib which was also delicious! Doug, the bartender was very friendly & pleasant to talk to when we were eating. If we come back to Lancaster next year for the reunion, we will come back for sure! 5/5 :)

Fantastic food! The whole experience here was awesome. My boyfriend went to Greece a few years ago, and he hasn't had a gyro on that level since...until today. I got the veggie stir fry that had a ton of vegetables in it, and the sauce was perfect. It was lightly spicy and flavorful. My boyfriend also loved the olives that came on the Greek salad. He asked for a bowl of them on the side because he enjoyed them so much. Thanks for a great dinner. Next time we're in Lancaster, we'll definitely be here. Wish you were closer to Pittsburgh!

Excellent food excellent service. Will revisit soon. Was there on a Sunday at 5pm, had a table near the bar, main dining room was not busy so the kitchen was really fast and on their A game. Ordered wings, clams, tomato bisque, Caesar salad, cocktails. 16oz NY Strip w Bacon Wrapped Shrimp was THE BEST w sides. Crem Brûlée to finish. Exceeded Expectations, Compliments to the Chef.

Pretty nice place. It’s okay… nothing great but nothing horrible. The prices are alright as is the friendliness of our waiter. Staff could’ve been nicer (other than the employee who brought us our food - who wasn’t our waiter). He was exceptionally sweet & accommodating! My food was okay, not amazing not awful. I would come back.

We liked the place a lot! Recommended by a hotel receptionist as a place where locals go. After an hour of driving around trying to get a table at many popular chain restaurants we gave this one a try, and this was the best decision! Service is absolutely great. Our server Justin was perfect - quick, very polite, knowledgeable. Food was very good, and this comes from the foodies :) Even though calamari wasn't our favorite, bruschetta was honestly one of the best I've tried. Steak was perfectly cooked, veggies just right amount of tenderness. Steak salad perfectly balanced, steak in it also well timed and juicy, and cheese fries on the top very delicious. Salmon also was top quality. We didn't try any deserts as the food portions are huge, keep that in mind. Would absolutely recommend this place!
