Taqueria Pepe El Toro

This is by far the best Mexican food in town!!! I took my family and it was our first time there, we were greeted by the nice lady, very friendly and attentive to serve and anything you need. The food is PERFECT, the beans are true refried beans, not out of the can like the other places, each plate that we ordered was with beans, rice, one was with Chile relleno which is finger licking good, The plate of carne en Chile rojo wow!! The flavor is great. The mojarra was fresh and tasted great, The place is small but cozy, and the prices are a little high but once you taste the food, it’s well worth it! Usually I don’t leave great reviews for other places, I say it like it is, and this place is definitely great and we are happy to have found out about it.

My wife and I got some food to go so this review is strictly about the food. We order the alambres and soft tacos w/ al pastor, and both meals were delicious. They even gave us some chips and salsa to go, which was also delicious. I liked the alambres a lot more than the al pastor tacos, but both were awesome.

Got a chicken taco/cheese enchilada combo and bf got the beef enchilada combo. All of the good was excellent. The taco shell was crispy and slightly charred, nice crunch and flavor. Plenty of chicken and cheese plus the salsa is very flavorful. Bf said the beef enchiladas were also very tasty. They included chips too. We will def. be going back, this place is great.
