The Downtown Bristo

Went here for dinner with my husband tonight. First time actually eating a meal here. Very nice atmosphere and waitresses. The food took a little bit to come out, only down side.. but it’s a Friday night what do you expect when going out? Lol! But the food was AMAZING!! We had calamari for apps and then I had fish and chips and subbed my fries for the scallop potatoes. Delicious! Probably the best COD I’ve had in awhile. My husband got the chicken Alfredo and it had broccoli with it and he said the broccoli reminded him of his grandmas soup !!Who is no longer with us. Cooked perfectly! 5/5 would recommend and can’t wait to go back!!!

I don't know what happened. Sure it can be short staffed sometimes, but service was always excellent. Not an issue for me. I've been here three times before and the food was A+. Though my wife and I came back for the first time in almost 8 months and the food was way off. The burger and onion rings was a favorite of mine, but the supplier must have changed. All of it is smaller, looks different, and doesn't taste very good + a 4oz burger. I think the menu advertised 7oz maybe? Shredded iceberg (instead of romaine) on the burger and onion rings were way off too. It all just had much less quality to it. I promised myself I'd come back again and try something else, but something not so good happened to the burger/onion ring lineup.

First of all the sausage patties were disgusting, they we’re actually hamburger patties (sliders). Last I checked sausage comes from a pig. Bacon was super greasy & my orange juice tasted like it had been left out for a few days & had gone sour. Definitely not worth $20 a person. Will definitely not return. I politely complained to the manager & was VERY rude with her comments. Definitely should work on her people skills. Parking was awful!! I own a big vehicle and could barely make thru to the other side to park. Very small parking spots also.

Went to the Downtown Bistro tonight for our anniversary dinner. Everything was very good and our server, Jordan was very nice and attentive and gave us some good food suggestions. We had the stuffed mushrooms appetizer. Wow! Those might have been our favorite thing we had - they were so good! We tried their homemade mushroom soup. It was also very good. One dish was the shrimp and scallop linguine. It was very good. The shrimp and scallops were done just right and there were green and red peppers and some mild sweet onions. It came with a nice salad with field greens, carrots, tomato, and cucumber. We chose the balsamic vinaigrette dressing. They do have some dressings they make in house, but this was not one of them. It also came with a piece of garlic toast. The other dish was a 20 oz new York strip steak with broccoli and red potatoes. This dish was also very good. The broccoli could have just a bit more cooked to our liking. But overall it was very good! We had a very nice dinner and thoroughly enjoyed this extremely lovely evening out on the patio at the Downtown Bistro in Lancaster, Ohio.
