Applebee's Grill + Bar

“This was laying upon my plate at Applebees in Lancaster. Turned my stomach. I dont even want salad. As you see i had dressed my salad for eating.. The manger said, they have to wash that lettuce better...REALLY? Its a whole family of roaches in that kitchen and has a 98 grade on the door. The other 2% must be roaches.“

Occupancy was about 10%. Waited at least 15 minutes to be greeted. Asked what was the problem. Hostess said that someone had a blow out in the bathroom and they were cleaning it up. One menus per table because of Covid…? Handed waitress 2 salt shakers that were coated with either catsup or bbq sauce. She returned with salt packets, they were out of salt shakers. Got our food, asked for silverware and napkins. Took 20 minutes to get to go boxes, and the bill. Waitress said she had to show my friends $50 bill to everyone in the back. Food fine, waitress ok. Plenty of staff, just not trained. Will never, never return.

My pick up time for carside was 7:19pm. I arrived around 7:20pm. After waiting for approximately 25 minutes in the car I walked in and noticed a bag sitting on the counter. After another 15 minutes someone asked what order I was waiting for along with another patron. The bag on the counter belonged to the other person which is when I told her it had been sitting out for a while, since I came in. She paid then mumbled some negative comments about the restaurant. A few minutes later I received my food, I took out one fry already knowing the temperature. I ate the fry, packed it up and put it back on the counter. I told her the food was cold and she replied “from eating one fry?” She took the bag and brought it back out a minute later and said “here, hot fries.” I opened the bag and felt the temperature of the item on top, quesadilla burger and it wasn’t even room temperature, it was cold. I was told “well, your pick up time was at 7:19 it’s past 8, of course it’s cold.” This is when I asked for a manager. The manager came out and offered to remake it, at this point I had been there for 55min. This is no longer an experience or a fluke with this location. It’s now a trend. This was the 3rd and final time we will try this restaurant. We’ve sat at the bar, sat in the dining room and now tried carside; all of which were equally bad experiences. How can a management team ruin an Applebees? I’m genuinely curious how this locations management staff still has their job? Everyone working is typically in a bad mood, each time I’m in the restaurant the guests are disappointed, the bathrooms smell like a bathtub full of bleach, and it’s a dirty location.

I try not to be harsh in general, but believe me when I say...this is the WORST place I have ever eaten at. I don’t necessarily expect the royal treatment, but when I order my salmon I would prefer it to be seasoned and not dried to hell. Not to mention I ordered hot wings from there, and those were dried out and they looked stale on top of everything else. I feel enraged by the particularly odd behavior of the staff in Applebee’s. A woman there quite literally put her hand up as if to dismiss me. One of my sisters ordered a steak from there only to find it bitten out of. We were completely both astonished and appalled. I would say I’m hoping for better service in the future, but this was my last time dining at an Applebee’s that was quite inferior to all the rest.
