Tickles Food

WARNING: Stay away from this place. Firstly, stepping into this establishment is like entering a time machine in the early 90's (first red flag). Secondly staff in this establishment can only perform 0.5 - 1 task at a time. Food quality and service is extremely poor (attached image). Price is very high. You can literally taste the staffs resentment for the establishment in the food they prepare you. If you must attend this cafe my suggestion is to only purchase the branded packaged goods. Best bet is to visit a different cafe. Worse experience ever.

First visit hear while starting an early job in the area and it will be my last for a coffee is listed hear on the wall $5.70 and I used new card to purchase so it ended up costing me $6.40 for 1 Large coffee !! Service was friendly but not worth paying that . Further the cost of all the extras to put a meal together hear would not justify a meal of its standard as it’s a cafe not a restaurant.

Good value for money, but hairnets and visual appearance of cleanliness would vastly improve it. This place is the butt of jokes at my workplace, which is literally across the road, mostly around food safety. Hair in burgers, sneezing in soup, that kind of thing. Consequently I've avoided trying much stuff there - mostly just hot chips, which other than pulling out a couple of bits of green potato I've never had a problem with them. Also I know a lot of people still go regularly, so it's hard to know how much is real and how much is imagined. Be cautious in selections and it's probably fine. The reality is that there's no other options within 10 minutes walk.

Good quality no-nonsense food. 10/10 roast beef roll. It's not fancy - that's why I like it!! They have a fresh sandwich bar, a bain marie section with hot food of the day and they also do burgers and chips. Not sure why people have commented that the burgers are pre-made - mine has always been made to order. Friendly and welcoming staff.

I work upstairs from this place. When I first started here I thought having a Cafe right downstairs will be great.... That is until I tried the food there. Hamburger are pre-made and served up dry and disgusting. When it come to the Bacon and Egg sanger It is as if the Bacon was fried the night before with the eggs the night before that and the bread is from sometime last week at best or at least that is what it all tastes like. Nothing is made fresh or to order, it is all made and then left in a bay marie for hours and served up stale, dry or generally rubbery. How much does a rubbery bacon and a stiff old egg on stale bread sandwich cost do you ask, $6.00 plus more if you want sauce. Coffee has a strange after taste but some of the others here seem to like it, so may just be my opinion on that one. I have not tried some of the other food after 3 bad experiences but other staff here all report similar experience. Stay well clear folks.
