Starkey Pizzeria

Sooooo... I grew up near starkeys pizza and haven’t been back in quite a few years. When I was a kid it was owned but the sweetest old married couple and the food was delicious!!! Seriously really good!! Well tonight my family and I were in the area and I was telling them all about starkeys pizza and how good it was. We walked in and there were different people. I asked if the place was still owned by the little old married couple and the guy told me no but that they just bought the place from them a couple months ago but not to worry they bought their recipes and everything so everything still tastes exactly the same. Well that was a big lie! I ordered extra sauce on my pizza and there was literally no sauce! We got 3 pizzas and all of them were pretty much bread with cheese and a topping here or there. I am so disappointed! I used to go there every Friday as a teenager with my dad and the food was amazing! It’s definitely not the same. Unfortunately we will not be going back.

This place has the worst customer service. We ordered one meat lovers pizza and one cheese pizza. They gave us two meat lovers pizzas. So then we had to call them to tell them they gave us the wrong pizza. The lady had to call the driver and she never called us back. I called her back and she was very rude. They also asked us if we didn’t eat or touch the other pizza (they didn’t even look at it), so they could take it to a different house! This place is absolutely dangerous! With the coronavirus going around, you don’t know what is in other people’s houses or what’s going around.

I have been going to Starkey Pizza for over seven years now. I never thought of leaving a review until I more recently went out of town and was looking for a good restaurant to go too. I found myself reading reviews online. I know how helpful these reviews were to me when I am in an area I never have been before. Starkey Pizzeria, is a small family owned and operated place. There are only two tables with chairs, it’s not for sitting really... more of a carry-out place. The owner always offers a treat to my daughter when we go and pick-up our food. This makes my little girl feel special. THE FOOD- I find the food to be very tasty and full of flavor. The pizza is addicting. Once, I ordered ten pizzas for a party and all of the pizzas came on time, this was huge because we could not have pizza come to early or toooo late.

The pizza is crazy good. Thin and a bit of a bacony taste to the sauce. I LOVE pizza where you can taste fresh garlic, and this definitely has it. No indoor seating, except for a couple of chairs when you're waiting for your food. The chef is super friendly. Milda who runs the place and takes the orders is a bit standoffish, but is always helpful and quick. The big salad is a bit weird because I think it has dried oregano on top, so maybe ask them to skip the spices if you order that. We recommend the XL pepperoni pizza. Something the whole house agrees on! Hope that helps!
