Las Trancas

Food was great and service was speedy! We ordered rolled enchiladas (green) with an egg and stuffed chicken sopapillas (green) plus 2 cokes. Chili was hot! Which is a good thing. Highly recommend. It was very busy but still had great service. A bit pricey - $45.00 for 2 people. But delicious nevertheless.

Man, this place was sadly recommended to us. I was not impressed with any part of it, at all. The soda was the only good part. Not only was the food pretty bad, but expensive as hell. You have to pay for chips and salsa that just aren’t worth it. Both the red and green sauce taste like it’s straight from a can. Especially the green sauce. Oh, and they charge you 65 cents for a refill on soda. Will never be back. If I could give zero stars, I would. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Absolutely DELICIOUS food, and wonderful service! We came in an hour before closing and were the only ones in there by the time we were finishing up our food, and we weren’t rushed at all (even tried to rush ourselves and they told us not to and asked if we wanted dessert haha!) I got the tamales and my husband got a combo plate and they were both incredible—and don’t miss getting a sopapilla for dessert! Just know if you’re wimpy about spice (like me) it’s probably going to be at the top level of what you can handle. I did have to scrape off some of the red sauce so I could bear it—but it was so worth it because it was so good. 😂🤤

Combinations. Combinations!! The combination plates are the best. We eat out everyday and I mean everyday and somewhere new all the time. Las Trancas never fails. Great Warm amazing Mexican food. Cheesy. Flavorful. The Albondiga soup 🍜 taste full of cumin. Great customer service and on time service. Stop by and enjoy 😊

I saw a big billboard on I-10 my way to Las Cruces advertising this restaurant. Decided to go try it. First and foremost I was sad to see they do not offer complimentary chips and salsa, most places i go to do, and as much as I understand the Pandemic was a game changer, its hard to understand simple small bowl of chips and salsa cannot be offered as a start. I ordered the parrillada de res y Puerco and let me just say, kinda of disappointed. Guacamole, queso fundido, tortillas and salsa were great, the meat, well, not so much. Both beef and pork were bland, no flavor whatsoever and the beef was even done a bit too much to the point it was dry. As I always do, I will give this place a second chance and order a Mexican combination plate or something along those lines and see if that goes better, but as for the Parrillada, I will stick to other places like El Toro Bronco, Corralitos, or Chinampa. To be fair, our server gave us excellent customer service, she was very attentive and ask us if we needed anything else. Until next time, don't take my word and judge for yourself, but be warned, especially about parrillada.
