Monte Verde Leeds

Monte Verde is a surprise in my area. I have been there one week ago only for a drink and I have instantly notice a wood fire pizza oven. This evening I have given it a go. We started with a monte Verde antipasto, meat board with two great bruschette, proper toasted on fire!!! Then here we go, two pizzas: capricciosa (just a bit spicy because of chorizo) and pesto (soooo sweet). The dough is home made, with a crunchy crost. The dough has a proper levitation, and one of the ingredients is olive oil that makes it tastier. The staff hi highly professional and friendly. With drinks we paid less than £50. They know what they are doing. I will be back there.

Great vibe and food excellent, was a bit chaotic and having been told I could have any pasta dish gluten free was then doubly disappointed to find that not only had they run out of GF pasta but actually are thinking of discontinuing offering GF as it's too much hassle! Such a shame as we'd have become regulars but not if I have about 2 options on the menu....

My wife and I have been wanting to visit the new Monte Verde restaurant for some time. We had previously tried the other businesses in the unit, but never felt impressed. As it was a Thursday night we chanced our luck and popped in, without a reservation. We we're greeted by a very smart dressed young man and shown to a table. Within a few minuets we had a food and drinks menu and ordered a drink to peruse the delicious food on offer (even the look of the menu felt quality). The restaurant boasted an option of booths and standard tables, depending on the size of your party. Another thing we liked was the display of the kitchen, through a glass window and serving hatch. It was spotless! The chef was friendly and in a nice, clean uniform. You could see he wanted to please his customers and got the food out quickly and hot. We ordered our food and enjoyed the atmosphere of other people having a nice time. We both visited the toilet during our stay, which again was spotless (a small detail but it does matter). Our food arrived and we couldn't wait to took in. The portions where generous and excellent quality. We actually had to ask for a doggy bag to take the leftovers home, it was too delicious to leave! We can't say enough positive words about our experience at Monte Verde. The staff, the food and the whole environment make us want to visit again soon. Keep up the excellent work.

As a family of six we visited here on Saturday night. Absolutely fabulous meal. Portions were very generous and delicious. Staff were wonderful, very polite and efficient. We had a few cocktails which went down a treat. Well worth a visit to this wonderful restaurant. We will certainly go back again!

Just visited this lovely little restaurant with Hubby, and had a fabulous meal, great value. The staff could not have been nicer or made us feel more welcome. The food and wine were plentiful and of a very high standard. We would definitely recommend a visit. Support these great local eateries we will lose them!
