Waffle House

Came to waffle house at 1:30am and all the lights were on. Went to go pull the door and it was locked. Not a soul was inside. We waited around for a few more minutes and here comes the workers from across the parking lot. They explained they had an “emergency” but all 3 of them needed to go? And one came back on a bike and the other two were walking. They told us they could dine-in after telling me on the phone 30 minutes prior that they were doing take-out only. Now we are waiting outside in the cold because they locked the key inside. Great service. Only reason im still here is just to see this out because at those point i might as well 😂

As many times as I have been eating at the Waffle House, this is probably the first time I didn't have waffles or pancakes. I did have toast, bacon, steak, eggs and hash browns. Very enjoyable dinner. They still have spaced tables and a couple were wearing masks. The plastic menu smelled of disinfectant, hopefully this addition will continue in the future.

The parking lot had bags of empty take out boxes all over. When u walked inside most tables were still dirty and sticky. The restroom was out of toilet paper. However service was fast and the dishes that we ordered was AWESOME!!! Overall it was a great lunch experience just needs to take more pride on cleanliness and instead of the employees outside smoking and standing around maybe next smoke break take a broom and a rag with ya.

Stayed at the super 8 next door. Came in at 10pm on 5/14 it wasn’t crazy busy. The table was disgusting, I used wipes to try to clean off some of the syrup. The server appeared to be intoxicated but was friendly. Food was good, he did forget one meal but quickly got it to us. Also ordered a meal to go. Once getting to the room I realized it was missing the meat, condiments & utensils. We went again this morning & they were very busy again dirty table the server brought food & check at the same time. Neither visit did a server come back to the table to see if we needed anything or ask if everything was ok. This place is really lacking in quality servers it seems. Management must be nonexistent

I set at the table 15 minutes noone look at me the whole time I was there. Never said 1 word to me, "I will be right with you,would you care for anything to drink while you wait ?" No one word. 2 guys were working, they seem to have conversations between themselves but I never saw the waiter/hostess even say anything to any of the other 6 tables waiting. I understand restaurants are struggling with help but to be totally ignored...I'll NEVER go back.

We sat down for 20 minutes without being acknowledged. After asking for service we finally put in our order and never got silverware nor our drinks. After another 10 minutes other guests were immediately sat down, got their drinks and had their order taken. We still never received silverware nor drinks. The employee that we spoke to had a name tag that said "Shadow". I'm extremely frustrated by how poor the service was.

Waffle houses are pretty much the same - a little tight on the space, and the food while okay is very standard. At least it's very consistent from place to place. It gets run up pretty quickly, and is uniformly pretty good. If it weren't for the smallness of the place it would be a whole lot better. But, when you're pulling off the highway you want to get a quick bite while sitting down, this really feels the bill. Definitely worth the trip.

My family and I went here for dinner this evening. I'll be honest, I was a little skeptical. I am so glad that went! Food was really good and Renee was amazing! She was slammed with things to do and still managed to keep up with us like we were the only ones in the restaurant. She was very attentive and kind. I didn't catch the name of the gentleman who was also there with her for a little bit, but he was also very kind. An overall great experience.
