Watersview Restaurant

Jakayla provided great tips for tonight's meal and was a fantastic server. Although they were uncertain of which dishes were gluten free the service was amazing. My husband enjoyed the featured drink- had a great balanced taste with the cherry. My Maui was a smidgen on the dry side but the risotto and mango salsa were creamy and delightful. Hubby's porkchop and broccoli were flavorful and delicious. Since my husband's potatoes were rather dry and tasted somewhat old, Jack the manager was gracious to add a lava cake to our anniversary dinner. Overall the wonderful view of the lake is matched by many of the dishes at Watersview- but more importantly Amazing service by the staff and management. And YES get the sweet potato bread app!

Had a relaxing lunch on their back patio with my pup yesterday. The manger Jack and my server Katlin were very friendly and genuinely cared that my experience there would be great! Katlin was so kind to bring Bella Baloo a dish of water and was very knowledgeable about the food and the lake! I had a small salad and it was very fresh and tasty! We will be back, next time by way of our new kayak!

Got a nice outside table overlooking the water. Table included an embedded gas heater which made it nice until I got the napkin on fire. We had the sweet potato corn bread for an appetizer which was very good. I had a tasty Shrimp Po-boy sandwich. Service was very good and they went out of there way to get the fire at the table going. Wasn’t very crowded and was a pleasant meal.

I ordered the $40 ribeye 12 oz steak medium. It came with grilled asparagus and potatoes. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. I was very happy with my meal. My husband ordered the Angus Burger ($14) and fries. He says his was horrible and had no taste. The fries are the flash-frozen kind. The meat didn't taste seasoned at all. I ordered tea, and my husband had water. Our bill came to $60.31 before tip. Our server was Christin and she was extremely attentive. The manager came to talk to us about the burger, but didn't take it off our bill. My husband had mentioned it too late for them to do something about it. This was our first time to try to this restaurant. We are traveling and most likely won't be in this area again for a long time.

Amazing. I showed up with about 18 people on motorcycles. With a good attitude, the manager talked to us and we were seated with just enough time to take in the perfect view between. Waitresses were great at dealing with all of us and the food and drinks were delightful. Definitely a destination. Would recommend, will go again. A 1.5 hour ride from Raleigh.

Our experience last night was the absolute worst dining experience I can recall in the last 10 years. By a long shot - I can’t even think of a dining experience which comes close to being as awful as what we experienced. Our family was a party of 12. 9 adults and 3 children. After placing our food and drink order we waited two hours for our food. We even placed the children’s orders “early” so they would be able to eat without having to wait for the 9 adult entrees to be made. Turns out that didn’t matter because their food took as long as ours. We patiently waited as we watched other tables being brought their food, and turn over. The food took so long that one sect of our group had to leave to take their child home to feed him. We were brought warm rolls with butter - which is what our children ate for dinner. When we would inquire about the status of our food we were dismissively brushed off by our waitress with statements of “the kitchen is just really backed up, I don’t know what to tell you”. Yet, other tables were brought food. Hmm?? When our food did arrive - TWO HOURS LATER - it was utterly inedible. My husband took one bite of his burger and spit it out. My sister in law was informed, while we were being served, that the salmon she ordered two hours previous was actually no longer available - she did not get a meal. My meal was cold and burnt. No one ate their food. Thank goodness for buttered rolls and wine. For which we paid a hefty price. The manager did come to our table to condescendingly inform us that there was nothing they could do about our experience. So, unless you are on a diet or fasting, we say Watersview Restaurant is a hard pass.

Zero stars. Made a reservation for 7pm for our party of 10 adults and 3 kids. Arrived at 6:50 and checked in with hostess. Seated around 7:15 and took food and drink orders around 7:20. Our food didn't come until 8:48pm 😂, the fried oysters were cold. They ran out of salmon at 8:44pm. None of our party ate our food. It's laughable really. We had to leave because our child's bedtime is at 8 and we figured a reservation of 7pm would have him in bed only a little late. Glad we left at 8😂 Jack was nice enough to apologize 😂 Gratuity was included of course for the large party and it was $115 per person for food no one got to eat. Thanks y'all! It is safe will not be eating here again, would rather cook at home. 😊 Edited to add: my husband called the restaurant beforehand and spoke to Jack about gluten free options since he has celiac disease. Gluten is poison in his body, he doesn't do this as a " dietary preference". He would die of malabsorption if he ate gluten over and over again. Jack came to the table and spoke with my husband about his dietary options and even checked with the chef to ensure the sides that were gluten free. My husband woke up this morning with symptoms of gluten poisoning. So thanks for that.
