Vikings Landing

Our first visit to vIkings landing after my original review. I didn’t contact the manager as i was requested to do after a poor experience. I can say that my wife and i enjoyed our early evening meal, the bar staff and waitress were courteous and attentive, the meals were promptly delivered and were very tasty. I am glad our recent experience was much better than our earlier visit.

It was the 1st time visiting this pub. And let’s just say food was piping hot. Service was really good especially from Danny. He is so friendly and chatty. It is so nice that you have a lovely pleasant guy working for you. It was a pleasure to have a chat with him today. Whilst he was serving me my Sunday carvery. We will definitely be coming back

We booked online, which was really easy, got there and shown to our table straight away by a smart young man who was very polite. Food came quickly and we chatted to David, the assistant manager, who is always very friendly and polite. He even came over to check my order was correct, as it was down as coming with salad instead of chips (our mistake as we ordered from the App) Fabulous place, and of course very busy as always

Came for Sunday dinner with the family. Place had been busy all day and they squeezed us in. Josh C and Esther were looking after our area. The pair of them never stopped and must have cleaned and brushed every inch of the place invetween serving food. Manners on all the staff were excellent and very friendly. Will be back again. Warning.... the carvery is massive and very tasty.

We'd booked a table for 11 to celebrate Mothers Day. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The carvery was also very good. All in all I'd highly recommend the Vikings Landing. *** just a small note to prospective customers with dogs. It says it's dog friendly, however this isn't quite true. You are restricted to outside and a small section. Where we were booked in to eat, no dogs were allowed. So just check if it's OK to bring a dog and have it sat with you*** Otherwise you can't ask too much more for a pub with good food, great staff and a nice family atmosphere. Many thanks.
