Main Street Cafe

We visited Saturday morning and were seated immediately and recieved great. Friendly service. Food was fantastic, pancakes were some of the best I've ever had, housemade sausage gravy, and everything tasted like it was made the old fashioned way. Will absolutely be coming back to try the lunch menu soon!

This is a breakfast and lunch place in the heart of Lombard. I live just a couple of blocks from the place. This is the favorite place of my family for breakfast. The place is clean and service is great. The owner is always there and watches over everything to make sure customers are satisfied. They have a 2+2+2+2 breakfast special that is my favorite. It comes with 2 eggs, 2 sausages, 2 strips of bacon and 2 pancakes. It is not only breakfast, it is also lunch. If you live in Lombard or close to this place, you should try it. We need to support of local businesses, especially those that offer good service and quality goods.

My husband and I have enjoyed fantastic breakfasts at Main Street Cafe but this was our first lunch meal. The special was a bacon, mushroom and swiss cheese Alpine burger - absolutely generous and scrumptious at a reasonable price, accompanied by a dill spear, and the most delicious french fries! (Real potatoes used here, folks - not greasy, really fresh!) I had ordered a substitute of fresh fruit - also good, but next time I'm keeping the fries! (I had tasted my husband's fries!) Excellent!

My wife and I were wanting pancakes for breakfast but our usual place was closed. We decided to come here and we were blown away by how delicious the food was. The serving sizes were large for the price. The gravy for the biscuits is made from scratch and is delicious. I had an order of pancakes as well, and they disappeared into my belly in short order. We will definitely return!

Wonderful place to get a delicious breakfast. Their menu is huge and full of treasures! I had the athenan omlette which had gyro meat and feta cheese. My brother got a sweet looking Mexican skillet deal and biscuits and gravy. Good sized portions. We waited about 25 minutes though. Went at 10am on a Saturday. Still people waiting when we left at 11:30. Worth it imo.
