Globally Local

We visited Toronto this weekend from the States and I've heard good things about Globally Local, but never visited because London was a bit out of the way. Knowing what I know now, I'd go back in time and tell myself to make the drive to London. I can't believe I was missing out on Globally Local all this time. The food is somehow simple but incredibly delicious. The prices are amazing. My kids could eat here for days. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. There is nothing NOT to love about Globally Local. For breakfast, I'd check out the Venedict before you dive into anything else. It's all delicious, the Venedict just seems to be Delicious+. For every other meal, the Buffalo sandwich was the best sandwich I've had at any vegan restaurant anywhere, and the fries (all varieties) were amazing. We didn't get a chance to try some of the other Macaroni varieties, the salads, or some of the other sandwiches, but we'll probably be back in a couple months to just try those. I could eat here every day for a month and not get tired of it. Globally Local is a treasure and should be protected and appreciated at all costs.

In between a wedding event, me and wannabe Vegans headed to this place in downtown London. Because of all the construction going around right at the door step the place is temporarily not properly accessible but a short walk does the trick. The place does perhaps need some minor makeover and perhaps some brighter lights. There was a self order system that you can enter your order, however help, advise and suggestions are available from the super helpful staff. The staff were really awesome the Sunday late afternoon. Surprisingly there is a constant stream of customers. Ordered quite a few stuff between the five of us. The famous burger (Big Mac), Mac n Cheeze with Bacun, ChickUn Souvlaki were among the best. We also ordered later a half n half order of wings and fingers. The girl on the counter was gracious and kind to give us that option as we were just trying things out. Crispy ChickUn, and ChickUn Cordon Bleu were a close second. The Big Mac does come loaded with too much sauce - mayonnaise and other stuff. The fries and onion rings are amongst the best we have had. Just to try we took an order with Hash Browns and those were OK. The Mac n Cheeze does need a bit more cheezy flavour. We broke a ChickUn finger in it and it turned out amazing. The wings Korean style were OK, but the sauce is amazing. What we didn’t like was the texture. It felt too flat. All in, quite pleased we got to eat some vegan fast (junk) food in London, which we didn’t expect at all while coming for the event. Would for sure come back and hope they open one in GTA.

firstly, their fries are like the best fries ever! also, if you've never been try their burgers, best burgers, and their fries supreme is quite amazing too. globally local has such great fast food, you can sit inside or bring your food home. it's such a great place, and the other location is open 24/7.

Love the concept of this place - vegan fast food. Got the big Mac - would definitely rename to a chicken Mac as the patties didn't taste like a "beef" burger unfortunately. The chicken cordon blue was delicious as were the hot wings. Looking forward to trying this place again when we are visiting family in Port Stanley.
