Flat Iron Covent Garden

WOW…….this was incredibly good! Very simple and small menu and the food was excellent! They definitely know what they’re doing, the free popcorn and free ice cream are also great treats ❤️ Only ONE thing I’d say: the playlist choice was not matching the vibe. They were playing a bunch of pop american music which is fun it just didn’t really match the whole experience for me. (But don’t get me wrong I’d still come back)

Whole experience was fab here, we didn’t pre-book so we had to wait for 45 minutes but they will text you when there is a table free or you can sit at the bar and have a drink while you wait. Cocktails were amazing! And the free popcorn and free ice cream at the end is a lovely touch, the steak and chips were unreal, we also got the mash which was lovely too but we were so full we barely ate it! Will definitely be back again

Loved to discover this gem in a bustling Covent Garden area. The food was good, but the service was exceptionally good, very chilled and friendly. You can absolutely tell they’re passionate about their meat! You also get a complementary ice-cream once you finish your meal, what’s not to love about that!

Visited here a couple of times and it does not disappoint. Most recently we did not book a table on a Saturday evening as this was a last minute decision. The website stated the restaurant was fully booked, however some tables are held back for walk-ins. We arrived at 8pm and were told there was an hour wait for a table. Fine, we thought, we don't need another excuse to try a local pub! A pint of London Pride and 40 minutes later we received a text saying our table was available. Once seated we were explained the menu, as well as chef's recommendations and specials - including wagyu steak. The knowledgeable waiter was able to advise us on how best to have the steak cooked depending on the cut, as well as the recommended wine pairing. The steak, sides and sauces promptly arrived and were cooked exactly as requested. As expected the steaks were excellent, especially the Flat Iron Steak, which seemed to be a popular choice. I would recommend the crispy bone marrow mash, which is smooth, creamy and probably the best mash I have ever tasted. I would also suggest getting a couple of side salads to share for the table. With clear plates and full stomachs we were more than happy to pay the discretionary service charge added to the bill. I will however note there are very limited options for vegetarian/vegans as it looked like only one of the sides - the roasted aubergine - could be optioned as a main. Staff were friendly and food was excellent. I very much recommend and look forward to visiting again. The free ice cream is also a lovely gesture.

I have been to Flat Iron numerous times over the last 7 years or so and food and service is consistently good. Everything is delicious from the free popcorn to the steak. Very good value for money and the free ice cream you get at the Covent Garden branch is a nice touch. The only down side is the wait, it can be extremely long (on a number of occasions it was 2 hrs plus). They take your number down and text you when your table is ready and so unless you're extremely hungry or pushed for time it's not too bad as there are loads of places nearby where you can grab a drink.

Gluten free prepared restaurant. Service is excellent, from entrance to table service. I want to highlight that Atash has taken great care of us with a smile and a lot of patience. He made our day perfect. On entry, a free pop-corn is offered while choosing your menu. The menu is excellent and based exclusively on meat. The meat is perfectly cooked and the table presentation is also very nice. Frites are also very tasty and crunchy so you can't stop eating them too. When going out, there's a free ice-cream offered by the restaurant, which is like a cherry on the cake. Highly recommended!! Remember: Gluten free friendly restaurant.

A must try when visit London! Their steak is delicious, juicy, and made it accordingly to our request (Medium). Not to mention, the free popcorn and complimentary ice cream which were very delicious in this one 💯😍. The sides are also delicious, chips - creamy spinach - macaroni truffles. Booking is highly recommended as it was crowded and lots of people waiting to get an empty table (dinner time). We had reserved and straightly went to the table. Also, the staffs were very friendly 💯!
