Roxie Steak - Putney

Service was a little slow, they seemed understaffed but everyone was very nice. Word of warning, the Sunday roast is only served at lunchtime. This is not specified on the menu or website. I got the ribs instead which were quite good. The sticky toffee pudding was a little dry but had good flavor. The truffle Mac was too strong for my liking.

Came for a birthday dinner and it is a casual, neighbourhood yet “nice enough for a date night” vibe. Service was wonderful, the drinks were delicious (willing to convert to mocktails for non-drinkers), the food was delicious- yummy appetizers and juicy steaks. We didn’t have room for dessert but would come back again. Highly recommend especially if you’re in the area anyway.

Very good meat restaurant - the steaks were excellent (although were you to order the fillet, be prepared for it to be on the small side…). Very good drinks menu too, while the set menu is a definite bargain compared to the a la carte. The service was cheerful and enthusiastic - but they needed at least one more person on the restaurant floor, as the two ladies on duty when we visited struggled (gloriously) to keep up.

Nice local steakhouse. Ideal if you don’t want to go into high footfall parts of London. Staff were nice, and accommodating. The sirloin steak was cooked perfectly. Side slaw was good too. Loved the Roxie Spritz cocktail - super refreshing. Cute for a date - it’s very small, and intimate. The only downside was minor - I’d much prefer a steak on a plate, than a serving board.

Came with a booking of 5 for my sister's birthday and the whole party was very impressed! The quality of the food is incredible and the price is more than reasonable. The staff were incredibly attentive and even went out of their way to give my sister a free dessert for her birthday which was a lovely surprise. Would recommend and we'll definitely be back!

Visited twice. First time is a Saturday, the food was excellent and so was the service. Really enjoyed it and wanted to come back. Our second time on a Sunday was appalling. The waitress was dusting lamps over our heads as we were ordering. The waiter - with a cold - cleared his throat twice in a revolting way as he walked past while we were eating. He was rude/hurried to my wife. Sorry Roxie that was not acceptable. Not going back.

So this review is for the veg options as I was the sole pescatarian at the table. I was nervous about eating out here but my god, I had SUCH good veg food I had to write about it! I had the spinach and ricotta arancini and the small Asian salad with halloumi and I was stuffed from the meal! There are three arancini served and they are utterly delicious, gooey, hot and incredibly savoury. I had the salad with the dressing on the side and it was still incredibly fresh and satisfying, with crunchy veg and a good mix of veg. My husband and friends all raved on their respective steak and chicken dishes. Great chips as well: chunky and salty. I also had some of my husband’s mushroom side and was pleased how moreish it was seasoned. Yum! The salted caramel ice cream for desert was fine but nothing to rave about: overpriced and I’ve had better. Very good service.
