What an amazing lunch! Five of us wandered into The Black Friar and we were greeted warming by Jamie. We did not have a reservation, but he was able to accommodate us. The food was delicious. Fish and chips was perfect. I tried the award-winning pie. We all left happy and full! Cute building too!

A top pub if you’re into interesting, historic spectacular interior aesthetics from the Art Nouveau period. Like something from a surreal film set with copper relief pictorial panels and spectacular exterior typography. I particularly love the enamelled door handles. Great food and ales too as always and the London Bridge location.
Nice old pub, and a famous one. Looks very giod frim the insude as wellas frim the outside. Nice wooden murials inside, deoicting the life of friars. Multiple beers and drinks availeable, as well as classic pubmeals. There is also a seperate dining area.
I was on a guided tour of historic pubs and this was one of the stops. A place that was in the “Men in Black” movie! …
