Cora Pearl Restaurant

Food was excellent. I had the crab starter and it was so perfectly balanced and really refreshing on the warm day we had. Next I had stone bass. Cooked perfectly with a little crisp, well seasoned and just the right portion size. We had a provance rosé with our food and ordered the chunky chips as a side dish. Service was really great, the only thing that let them down here was serving our dessert (sorbet and icecream) we had to ask for it to come, it was a simple missed ticket. Highly recommended, would definitely like to come back and try more food on the menu.

A really lovely place, great for a date or pre-theatre. The service was fantastic and we notified them that we'd need to leave before a certain time for the theatre. We did the a la carte menu & sampled the fish roe crumpets and ham & cheese sandwich (the latter was better). For mains, I had the pork chop with clams and my friend had the sea bass. We shared a side of tomatoes & broccoli, which were both good. The pork chop was excellent & very filling, would definitely order again. Cocktails were also good. A great pre-theatre recommendation or date night.

Very good food, in particular the ham and cheese toastie, which was sensational. The chips were a bit of a let-down. They were actually confit potatoes cut into chunky chip shape. I wasn't expecting the garlic and thyme flavour and the inside was underseasoned. I would suggest a more accurate menu description for them, as at the QCH. The steak was good, but expensive and had quite a bit of gristle/fat. The service was great - understated but effective.

We had a wonderful pre-theatre dinner at Cora Pearl. The food was absolutely delicious, made with fresh and good-quality ingredients, the staff were friendly and helpful. It was my husband’s Birthday, and he received a lovely sweet treat with a candle. The restaurant is very cosy, with great ambience and interesting decor. The Milk & Cookies desert was our absolute favourite! Their chips are really good too.

We ordered the toastie as a starter, the pork chop main and chips as a side. The chips are supposedly the best thing ever but they were ok - needed some salt and tasted more like a roast potato than chip. The toastie with the side dipping sauce was tasty and well balanced savoury and sweetness combo. The fennel that accompanied the pork chop stole the show - my absolute favourite!

Flavourful food served in a dark atmosphere. Portions small, to be expected from a Covent Garden eatery. The toastie was the highlight but the sugared pork was great too (if not slightly too salty). White wine was the best bit. Staff were very hospitable and accommodating for us bringing a birthday cake out.

We visited for Sunday Roast with a friend from Aus for her first British Roast. But we were blown away!! The Yorkshire puddings, veg and cauliflower cheese were great. We were a little disappointed by the vegetarian option of the Celeriac, I think because everything else was sooo good and it was just a bit bland and no protein. But WOW the crispy potatoes!!! These were incredible!!!! Will be back for the chips because I will dream about these potatoes for months!!! Amazing service! Thank you!

Came here from a recommendation and we were not disappointed. We tried a variety of dishes and not trying the mains as we wanted to try a lot and we made a right choice; however this deserves another visit so we can try mains. The chips were one recommendations and they were so flavourful and crunchy. I appreciate the work that the chefs put into this dish. Must order! The dessert of milk and cookies were also highly recommended and we loved it so much! Definitely worth a visit if you haven’t been. The other dishes we ordered were so good, white bait so flavourful, beet root salad nice light dish and the ham and cheese toasty is not your normal ham and cheese. Staff were also very friendly and attentive!
