Recently visited this pub and was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere was absolutely inviting, creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxing evening out. They also serve Neck Oil, which is always a plus for fans of this brew. Most notably, the staff were incredibly friendly and made sure our experience was top-notch. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for a chilled evening with good beer!

Spent a couple of hours here watching the rugby with some drinks and a light snack. Nice pub and lovely helpful staff. But why are the owners charging a service charge on drinks orders???? Ok on food or drinks orders brought to table but if I go to the bar it's a bit of a rip off. Maybe just pay the staff better rather than this underhanded trick.

Visited after the opera. Noisy but friendly and very prompt service. Women's toilets are a bit of a trek and could do with a refurb

Lively, busy pub with seating upstairs and down. A bar also available upstairs. Traditional pub feel inside. Covent garden prices of the beers but a decent selection on offer with some craft beer also available. Few seats outside great for people watching

Really nice central London pub. No beer garden but a big area across the street outside urban outfitters you can drink in. Bonus points for the nice outdoor plastic beer glasses, not the flimsy cheap ones most pubs serve outdoor bevs in! Nice staff and big area inside

Judging by the amount of tourists taking photos of the outside of this place, it is beautiful (a 'real English pub'). They are not wrong, but they should come in, too. Over the years this has always been a refuge from the hustle and bustle of Covent Garden, Seven Dials and Neal St., and on my last visit it was no different. The staff are great: patient (as I'm sure you have to be in this location) and attentive. They allow kids, the toilets are clean (proper urinals, too!!) and there's a decent selection of drinks. I didn't eat on this occasion but good has always been good in the past. It can get busy, but -as I said - it's a great pitstop in the West End.

Looking for an awesome pub experience? You've got to check this place out. Great drinks, good service, awesome mix of a crowd. Fantastic location as well. Highly recommend the fish and chips.

Lovely little independent pub. Small menu but great food at good prices, not as 'same-y' as the franchised pubs we usually found. Drinks were pricier than other pubs we have been to but we didn't mind as it's going to a small business and the food more than made up for it. Haloumi fries amazing - went back another day to have them again.

On a dreich Saturday night in London it’s hard to find somewhere you can enjoy your time without a ten deep bar or teenager filled toilet but if there is an oasis of calm in the west end it’s the Crown and Anchor. Great selection of draughts and tables spread over two floors. It somehow manages to remain pleasant amidst the chaos. Friendly bar staff and outside drinking all a bonus. A great pub

Cosy atmosphere, delicious food and variety of beer options to choose from. Fish & chips was delicious, and the pie with liquor was very good as well. We had to wait for food quite long, however we were okay as the overall we were happy to enjoy classic pub experience and read the history about it.
