First they had trouble finding our reservation, but they accommodated our group at the last minute on a busy Friday night and gave us a very good table. They could have been difficult, but they were welcoming and helpful instead. At first sight the prices seem reasonable and dare I say even cheap for the place! Until you realise the portions are a bit on the smaller side, still you get good value for money. It was a bit odd that you don’t get breads or anything to munch on while you wait. It was a relaxed dining experience which is pleasant, but it does mean you wait around for a bit without anything to eat. The porterhouse steak was good and our friend really enjoyed the beef wellington. The beet salad was great. The house wine wasn’t bad, spend a bit more and go for the reserve. Overall a nice dining experience. Will return.

Received a wonderful Christmas present voucher to use. The service was exceptional! Never had to wait to ask and your wine/water was topped up throughout the evening. Yes sides, water and drinks you pay for but this is no surprise if you've been to Marcos before not to mention it clearly states before booking so feel a little confused when reading bad reviews of being shocked of the bill when the prices are clearly stated and reasonable, was not too keen on the cocktail the waiter did offer to change for another which we declined but this did not effect our night at all. Perfect place for fine dining!

We came here (13/07/2019) using a Virgin experience which was a Christmas present. I know - it took us a while to book...! My first thoughts: the place looks nice, not sure what the fuss is about. We had a nice table by the window. I had the cured Mackerel to start, Salad of Duck Confit Leg for mains, Rice pudding to finish. My girlfriend had Chicken liver parfait, 8oz Rump Steak and Rice Pudding. We also shared a bottle of wine. The food was great - couldn’t fault it one bit (Duck leg was fantastic). The outstanding part here was the service. The gentleman waiter was attentive, friendly and really made it a great atmosphere - so thank you for that. Would highly recommend this restaurant!

Excellent food, excellent service reasonable price for the whole experience. Will defiantly return as was thoroughly impressed with the food. Restaurant really well late out and had a excellent choice of drinks. One thing I would say as a bit of feedback which is minor, the internal door is hard to open and sitting by the front window magnified the issue.
