Nice area, older cliental. Seems to me very much a food pub and the food I saw being served looked very good but I wouldn't describe it as good value. It's not cheap in othwords. Lots of elderly couples coming in for evening meals. …
We shared the Burratta, the chicken schnitzel and the apple pie crumble. All of it was so very good. The warm pudding to drizzle on the hot apple pie crumble was quite scrumptious, could have eaten a large pot of it.
Maybe because we are tourist but we didn’t feel very welcome. The service was poor and we were forgotten about a number of time: The chicken schnitzel was very very good as were the chive mashed potatoes. We finished it off with a sticky toffee pudding to finish our trip. This place is good if you are wanting something close by.
Nice clean casual place for a pint and some food. Good for families and tourists, relatively quiet. Got the fish and chips; Food was solid, can’t complain.
The waitress was very nice. The fish and chips was really good, the batter of the fish was perfect, not too thick.
