Beautiful food, excellent service - we were well looked after. Warm welcome, great attention to detail, both décor wise & the food on the plate . Superb gentle music to complement the French theme. Generous space between tables...have been visiting this restaurant for many years, it never disappoints & hope to visit again for many years to come.

The first visit was ruined by a dominating voice at the adjacent table making food a secondary consideration and us vowing never to go back! However we went back as guests of friends and despite a rather high noise level food was excellent and way above the average for a high street bistro . Not a bargain meal but reasonable value , would revisit but not the table by the washing up section as clattering plates !

I just read the low star reviews and I actually think there's a lot of people that really do not get this place and they would be far better sticking to French "chains" like Cotè or Petit Auberge. This place has it. Great staff and even better food. I told the chef that I truly believe I would have to get on Eurostar to beat this. French Algerian? Do your homework mate. Moroccan influences (merguez) and French flavours are really at work here. If you don't like it you don't like French cuisine. And the atmosphere is so Continental. I know this and I love this. Top marks to all. We spent 60 per head but it was a complete blow out 😊

So glad to revisit this restaurant after some friends had a bad experience last year. The food was excellent as previously, onion soup then Steak Frites. However. The place was very full and the tables are far too close together. On a warm evening it would have been better with an open window. I was very glad to see Khalid again and tell him what a wonderful local restaurant this is. I also drew his attention to the rather unfriendly front of house. However the young waiter and waitress were helpful and delightful. I look forward to returning regularly again, but the new parking regulations make it difficult for us to come at lunchtime.

A not so hidden gem… had come across this place a few times when walking in the area and decided to finally give it a try. Wish I had tried it sooner! I had the scallops to start and steak main. The steak was the star of the show… succulent, tender, well seasoned and buttery. The meat it self was fresh and top quality. I have had the privilege of dinning at top steak restaurants and can certainly say this was on the same kinda of level. As soon as you walk in the interiors resemble that of a Parisian bistro. The staff were lovely and attentive.. it’s great to have gems like this locally 10/10 will defiantly visit again in the not to distant future.

Eaten here twice now and the food has been great. It’s very well priced for the quality and flavour of the food. The service has always been fine for me, just down to earth/friendly. I’d like to call this place a local hidden gem but it isn’t really hidden anymore, though that really helps the nice atmosphere that has developed inside. If you’re a local it’s a must visit.
