The Pimlico Grid

This quaint establishment has quite possibly the most professional and hospitable staff in London. The staff is very polite and professional. The coffee is perfect for eliminating any sleepiness! The Full Grid pictured was delicious and does not come with blood pudding. The apple juice is heavenly.

Breakfast here is included with a stay at the attached Windermere Hotel. Side note: if you are searching for an affordable, quiet, and clean place to stay within walking distance of central London, the Windermere is a great choice. Food at the Pimlico Grid is better than average, ranging from simple eggs to fresh and flaky pastries to a full English breakfast. The owners are friendly, service is great, and the coffee is not bad.

This is my Pimlico favourite! Traditional English breakfast plus some Greek additions. Friendly, youngish staff (little turnover!) with a good sense of when to chat and when to leave me alone! Clean, attractively decorated, seats up to 20 people at some nine tables. Consistently high standard of cooking and presentation from the brioche, through the bacon and eggs to the fresh coffee. A good advert for London. (Mine hosts Nick, Sylvia and daughter Emily are eminently ‘good eggs’ - you cannot have a higher English accolade than that!)
