Cheap and cheerful place to have lunch

Proper heimisha food at its best, like you'd find in the old east end or at a downtown New York deli. Well priced, though pickled cucumber with your salt beef sandwich is extra. Just missing kishke, kugel and a range of different pickled cucumbers, and cans of cream soda. Service could be better, the workers are a bit miserable and look like they would rather be in a war zone. Really tasty and fresh though. I would definitely recommend a visit or two.

This is the best salt beef sandwich or bagel you will get in London. Quality salt beef, decent price and I will alway stop to get one if I am ever in the area

Fantastic and absolutely delicious. Haven’t been for ages as moved away but went back for a change and the salt beef sandwiches were packed with loads of filling and as good as always.
The Lutkas, coleslaw and pickles were tasty and everything was perfect and priced very reasonably.

We love the Salt Beef Bar. I had a wonderful salt beef sandwich with wally and mustard, together with a great latka and piece of lokshen pie. Welcoming and friendly service and very reasonable prices. Lovely stuff.

Best value and taste for Salt Beef sandwiches in North London, hands down. Been going to this place ever since the family owners moved from Finchley and it was taken over by the new owners. Always generous with the beef and lovely fresh rye bread.
