I visited just before they closed for a refurbishment , it was not at its best but that was understandable .. I am looking forward to revisiting once the refurbishment has been completed ..

Handsome portions of well cooked food. Fair choice of beers and lagers. About to be refurbished. Currently has a somewhat post-industrial feel. It was quiet when we had lunch. Service was prompt and considerate.

A nice pub, very genuine, nice selection of beer and gin. The staff is very friendly. Didn't try the food so no impressions about that. What I mostly ejoied was an IPA - Half Time Oranges wich obviously has hints of oranges, it was quite a unique taste and I totally recommend it.

Love this place, haven't been in for a while. The decor still looks 'lived in'!
Was a bit worried at first cause I thought they had no hand pump beer...then there on the end of the bar, shining and twinkling was Portobello Star...it was fab, nice and smooth with a lovely bitterness after mmmm! The smell from the kitchen always dominates as the Sunday lunches are being served. Been in today...23rd October they had Star and Autumn Red...both gorgeous!

Great venue! So close to the Train Station, you can come straight off of the train and enjoy a great pint.
Plenty of space too, so impressed with the back area!
