Smokoloko

My wife and I had lunch at Smokoloko (as you walk into Old Spitafields Mkt and not the sit down on Lamb St) yesterday for the first time. I had the Brisket wrap and my wife had the Chicken wrap. We absolutely loved the food- perfectly smoked, tender & moist meats with a bit of rocket and sautéed shallots, all wrapped up in soft naan bread! Make sure spritz some chimichurri and chilli sauce on the side to escalate your experience! £21 for the both of us and we were stuffed! Can’t wait to return.

This is a must! Try the samples before so you know what to order, depending how hungry u are, could potentially share one box. We had the steak, one with salad, one in the wrap...worth every bite. Such a cute touch with the steam train... love sitting in this area of Spitalfields, very vibey and if you sit by Koi pond it's so tranquil, will be back to try the brisket!

The brisket wrap with chimichurri was really delicious. Have had on three separate occasions. The second one had a bit more fat than as the others, but it was still really tasty. Got my food quickly even though there were more than 20 numbers in front of me. I think that is because the brisket is already smoked and doesn't need grilling. Kinda a non-standard BBQ, but really liked it.

Mixed chicken and brisket in wrap. 100% beef fan but added chick just to feel healthy. Both are beautifully smoky. Brisket is super tender and melts in the mouth, and the chicken isn’t too dry. Caramelized onion is sweet and not greasy. No extra sauce is needed. Since so many people have said good words about the flatbread, I decided to skip the side salad— and I was surprised that there is more than the sample suggests ;) The bread is no disappointment, stretchy and offers a good bite. Still tastes alright even though it cools down rapidly in this weather. The bottom half is too oily so I didn’t eat it. The price is not cheap (but still similar to market stalls). The locomotive smoker is of course interesting to watch.

Long story short this place is a tasty and smoky meat paradise. They offer meat, chicken, or both as mixed. You could get your food with salad and roasted potatoes or you could get it with pita bread. I ate from all at different times and they are tasty, they are also very generous about the meat amount, if you love meat and you also love street food, this is one of the best ones
