Battersea Tandoori Restaurant

Old school curry house with modern seating. Always a decent curry at Battersea Tandoori, the owner Ali is very welcoming and attentive to your requests. All the starters are good but the stand out one is definitely the shami kebab. All curry houses heat quotient is different, Battersea err towards the hotter end of the scale and a Madras has quite a kick in it so beware. Try a Passanda if you like mild, don't go down the tikka masala route. Keema rice is the bomb and perfect with any saucy curry. Naan bread are lovely straight from the tandoor oven, order one at a time and get them fresh as you need them. Onion bhajis as sides are great, there's two hockey puck sized ones per portion but Ali is happy to let you order 1¹/² if there are 3 do you get one each. Bombay Aloo is another winner for a side. Price is very reasonable, especially for the location of the restaurant, budget for £25 per head including 2 drinks and a coffee afterwards. (Now closed down so don't bother travelling)
