Les Platanes

Absolutely stunning food! We went here on a Saturday night with two friends who were visiting London and had our table reserved for 7.30. Initially the restaurant was empty so we were a bit worried but it soon filled out. The service, food and wine were fantastic. I would definitely recommend sharing loads of starters so you can taste a few and then having an individual main (the lamb is to die for!) They also do huge sharing plates which looked incredible and I will certainly try next time. Great for a romantic date or even a meeting as the ambience is very relaxed.

The food was delicious 😋 we opted for small plates to share over large mains - salmon, escargots, pâté, clams (my favorite) and a potato salad with duck eggs, plus a potato side (someone was in a special kind of mood for potatoes). We like to finish dishes with bread, especially with nice sauces in the clams and escargots, so I’d suggest to offer more bread to start with, though we didn’t have any issue to get more bread. The service is on the “too attentive” side for my taste, I tend to prefer for the servers not to come around too often during the courses but that might just be my personal preference.. overall it was a great experience!

Pretty restaurant decor, the staff were very attentive and the service was absolutely excellent. I had the white asparagus with vinegrette and food gras to start, both were lovely, and the Hake for main course which comes with an onion compote and was one of the most delicious fish dishes I’ve ever tried, absolutely divine. Lovely restaurant, I’ll definitely be back soon.

Have had the pleasure of dining at the Les Platanes with my friends. A very charming and cosy place, loved the decor with all the paintings and beautifully selected colours of the interiors. The food is just delicious, everything that we had ordered was impeccable. Impressive wine list. Definitely a must visit place. Highly recommend! Last minute booking on OpenTable just after the pride parade in London. The restaurant is new with a really lovely chill ambience.. velvet green cushion benches on one side with an open window in the back allowing the natural summer daylight to flow through.. service was great and the amazing value for a centrally locates Mayfair French restaurant. Highly recommend coming here before the word spreads.

Officially my new favourite restaurant in London. The food is amazing and so fresh. I ordered the food gras and daurade, my husband the beetroot and lamb and all of it was simply delicious. The service is super professional yet friendly and approachable. Makes you feel welcomed unlike the pretentious restaurants in area. Very reasonable prices as well considering the quality of the food and location.
